  1. I only found one comment on the review and I didn't trust him as far as I can throw him due to him not backing it up. Although It appears to be the same guy that makes the complaints on the forum, and it appears to be some very specific unit details that upsets him. Though appears it is details that might need to not be comkpletley accurate as to not hamper/limit the gameplay. (is that sentance to complicated to make sense?)
  2. The review implies that the history is detailed and correct (why would history buffs appriciate it if it was detailed and wrong?) With one comment that says "bad history" but does not explain anything and has a complaint about the encyclopedia being incomplete. The other link seems to be to the first page of a thread that is still anticipating the game.. Which page should I go to to read about complaints about how the history is portraid? (im not interested in the AI because im not interested in the game itself)

  6. Couldn't the base scout be made invisible / undetectable? That way you can have a delay on the base assult ships showing up for new bases, while not weighing preference in favour at the oldest bases.
  7. The aesthetics in Xenonauts is one of its major selling points for me, and reversly I consider XCOM2012 aestethics flawed and unappealing... Each to his own
  8. 3. There are no classes. you have mistaken the loadout quick selection for something that it is not. You can change this yourself, and the purpose is to make it easier toequip and resupply your soldiers. 7: Both the sniper rifle and LMG suffers a accuracy penalty if the soldier has moved before firing.
  9. talk to the forum user Ko2fan. afaik he is the resident Mac expert, and (I think) is the one spearheading the Mac version of the game. Although he doesn't seem to be part of goldhawk so I'm a tad confused about how all of that works
  10. Rubberbanding the difficulty? That doesn't sound that fun. Don't people usually want to be able to excell? To do better than "design" and get ahead of the "learning curve"?
  11. I agree that the colours are not important, except when they are reason for confusion. The issue has been blown out of proportion and I suspect you (the reader, not EoA specifically) for some reason think I'm very adamant of the use of colours. I don't really car3e I was just cautioning against the specific use of colours that was suggested.
  12. I think the game engine can't handle that. It is a very crappy game engine that got discontinued by the makers earlier in Xenonauts development.
  13. Yes, that was the point I was making when I said to use yellow and blue... Why would they just happen to use the colours we are used to and associate with access/enabeling and denial/disabling (and then use them in reverse order)? It's confusing design and if you're trying to say that the aliens don't interperate colours the same way we do you should go all the way and use completley different colours rather than switching them around. I'm refering to this post incase you missed it:
  14. Nothing decreases the ticker number afaik but shooting down UFOs should prevent them from completing missions which is what I thought made the ticker number increase. I'm not sure why Trashman says the ticker increases when the UFOs are shot down... might be some balance change I've missed.
  15. I thought the ticker increased when UFOs completed their missions or escaped. not when they got shot down?

Funding and material preventing the alien ticker from going up too fast. 2. yes UFOs hasten the ticker that decides the aliens progress for each mission they complete, and they also reduce your funding from the different nations 3. no clue think it is the latter. 4. No. 5 No, it is the other way around afaik. 6. it should come in waves so yes you should be getting breathing space if you clear. it also helps your funding. 7. yes.
  17. The reason I made the comment about the colourscheme was because I didn't think your pick was self explainatory. Why would it be green when it is disabled? and red when on standby/ready to go? I guess the colours would confirm that disabled (green) is good for the player but it's somewhat confusing imo, why would the aliens pick a scheme from the enemys point of view?
  18. Lets make the colours yellow and blue just to make a point that it is alien and doesn't adhere to standardised colour language/scheme of human tech/machines! ^^
