Difficulty Levels

Is there a list of things that are changed by the difficulty-level?

I bravely started on the highest one but currently seem in quite some trouble.

It's not the mission that bother me but the UFOs in Air-Air-Combat. And that' why I want to know if and how the difficulty-level affects that.

I've watched videos were people outmaneuved the UFOs with their fighters. Tried the same but the UFO turned around so quickly that the Fighters couldn't turn away from it fast enough. And even the small Escorts 1-shot my fighters.

In an asymetric game like this the potential list of things affected by difficulty is massive. So where can I find that list?

Alien HP in ground combat is the only thing currently affected by difficulty settings. They're slated to be worked on after normal difficulty is mostly balanced.

And alien Fighters aren't capable of 1 shotting any Xenonaut fighters.

They still can't one-shot any Xenonaut aircraft. Alien Fighter missiles do 75 damage, Condors have 200 HP and Foxtrots have 150 HP. I'm actually not certain that it's possible to lose 1 v 1 with a Condor vs a Fighter unless you actively sabotage your plane. Looking at the XML, a Condor flying straight at a Fighter, eating both missiles and allowing its missiles to miss should still win.

It's basically just the stats of the aliens in ground combat at present. Also, on Easy the alien weapons do less damage.

I'll tweak it now so the invasion escalates faster on higher difficulty settings, and that UFOs have 25% less HP on Easy mode. I'm not going to properly tweak the UFO stats for difficulty settings much at this point though, as I don't want to wreck the balancing Aaron has done on the air combat thus far.
