Black not just grey. I didnt see anything until I sent another guy there. I think it should stay visible even after his death. Correct me if I'm wrong. For example. I discovered house with stairs. I forgot about stairs and later without sending there soldier I can notice that I missed this stairs and alien could be upstairs.
