stx
I completed a ground combat mission, with 3 dead and 2 wounded. In the Soldier Development Screen however one of the dead soldier is instead alive, but heavily injured. I think there is an inconsistency. During the fight all the three soldiers died. If a soldier is injured instead of dead, it should not be reported as dead in the mission debriefing screen. Here the two screenshots:
anotherdevil
some soldiers have a chance of not dying, and instead surviving that fatal wound. It's rare, but it does happen
Sathra
Its not that rare. You still get penalised, as while they aren't actually dead, they are really close to it. They just managed to stabilise before -10 HP through a Con check.
RulerOfNothing
Well, I suppose part of the confusion is that stx is being penalised for 3 Xenonaut casualties, while one of these "casualties" is perfectly able to conduct missions at full capacity after some recuperation. Maybe the mission debrief (and scoring system) shouldn't consider such people to be casualties?
admiral
Indeed, I think it would be best if there was a "Near-fatally wounded" or something in the mission result.
stx
That's exactly what I wanted to stress out. In my opinion the solution is very simple. In the Mission Debrief screen the number of dead soldier should be 2 instead of 3. I think that would be enough. Today I find the both screens a bit misleading
