Mordobb
The actuall plane numbering on the aerial battle grid can lead to mistakes. Instead o: Condor 1 Whatever 1 Whatever 2 With 1 2 3 on the grid. I suggest Condor 1 Whatever 2 Whatever 3 and 1,2,3 on the grid. It will avoid confusion in the heat of battle. There s something that must be tweaked. Plane refuel. An undamaged plane refuel & rearm take 20 to 1 hour max. 9 hours to refuel ? Really ? manual pump ? Strech the repair of plane which is too short, repairs can take weeks, but shorten the refuelling. another point I was escorting a helicopter to the crashlanding when suddenly 1 UFO appeared and vectored an intercepting course. I tryed to vector the fighter but i could only send the whole group, so i sent everybody home, no need to risk my soldiers. Landing craft shouldn t be part of fighters as they have no weaponry. If you could tweak that. Edited July 20, 2013 by Mordobb

I repeat, ten minutes! Yes, "Viggen" was a record holder. But our engineers (I hope) are real pro, not emergently conscripted part-timers. Аnd we have a well-equipped base, not a parking lot in a middle-of-nowhere. So - for undamaged plane half a hour is more than enough. ----- I suggest even more reallife feature: After several flights (25?) or a number of hours in air (100?) or afterburner usage (30 minutes?) interceptor, even undamaged, needs maintenance including engine change or refit. Player can allow maintenance (12 to 24 hours plane is off-line, maybe some $$ ), or postpone it. In latter case, plane have 5% speed penalty, 10% hitpoint penalty and 3% chances of crash due malfunction. Penalties are cummulative, adding up with each takeoff - already wear-out tech degrading much faster! When plane is refited, parameters return to normal. GizmoGomez
Ha, I just suggested shortening plane refueling in the v19.3 Geoscape balance thread (as there isn't one for build 4). I was thinking an hour to refuel would be nice, but maybe if that's still too long (in terms of gameplay; remember realism takes second fiddle to gameplay, though realism is still important) less would be better. As far as the aircraft maintenance, that sounds like a potentially fun idea. Normally, I'd just assume that the maintenance would take place whenever you're not flying, but since the planes are in a constant state of readiness, that wouldn't be the case. Yeah, I like it. Although, I don't know if the developers would see the need for it (I'd think it would penalize the player for having an aircraft too long and not upgrading, perhaps? What about the last aircraft, would it still penalize them too?).
