Hmm. I admit its slightly confusing, but what this is trying to explain is that you'll lose the mission if you stun the VIP but don't bring him back to the dropship. Because obviously otherwise he'll just wake up after the mission and carry on doing bad things.

I think he wants it to say “Xenonauts evacuate without having killed the VIP or bringing the stunned VIP to the drop ship.”
