Game crash on loading screen

I shot down a small scout UFO, and sent my chinook to the crash site.

When the loading screen appears, a few moments, maybe... 10-15 seconds into it, the game stops working, and boots me out back to Windows. This happens on my downloaded copy, and the Desura copy.

I'm not that deep into the game. Maybe a few days, this is my third crash site.

If I save, and reload after a crash, it seems to work, but that's a lot of time spent just trying to play a ground combat.

Have you applied my hotfix to avoid crash on farm maps loading?

Shockpilot, so we know which version you are having problems with (and can therefore try and help a little better), could you please head any further bugs you encounter with the version number and the general area you are having problems with, please? For example: [v15 - Ground Combat]

Ah, let's see. I am using V15. It was what Desura had as the latest version.

Gio, I did not try the workaround, because I am not sure if it's specific to farmland or not, however, I will try it, and see if that works.

Excellent news, the workaround succeeded. Unfortunately, I've found a new bug, but I'm going to check over the forum bug reports to see if it's already been reported.
