WhenKatzComes
I have looked around in the forums for this, I found out that sometimes this means something isnt loading properly, or sometimes the descriptions just are not written up yet. I am running v 15, is this just something I should wait for or should I delete and reinstall?
Dowly
Not all descriptions have been written yet. So, yes, you'll just have to wait.
WhenKatzComes
Cheeers! I have been following this project since its conception and have purchased the premium alpha for both myself and my brother (avid xcom fans growing up). This is a wonderful endeavor and the progress has been both sustained and substantial
Dowly
I agree. Xenonauts brings back quite a few memories of me playing the original X-COM/UFO when I was younger.
Gauddlike
The research UI is being reworked so it may not be worth the devs time changing things until that is done.
Vivoune
For what it's worth I kinda like that some research are shown as ######. It sort of makes me feel like my scientists are launching a research on some very curious tech that they don't know how to call, its purpose nor the result it will yield. thothkins
but in real life, you know they'd spend the first week coming up with a cool acronym for the project and the next one contacting all of the private firms where they hope to work in the future, to see if they could use the technology themselves Edited September 30, 2012 by thothkins
Irishguy117
I can assure you before any meaningful work is done any project will receive a cool/awful nickname or acronym. Imagine what you would do in that situation? You'd be giving cool names to things if only to maintain your sanity.
thothkins
Having said that, the back story originally had a second outfit down a Light Scout somewhere over the Balkans. However, when faced with two calls to fund anti-alien activiies they all chose Xenonauts over the Force Against Reticulan Terror for some reason. anotherdevil
Hmmmm, I wonder why...? They also chose not to go with the Alien Shock Squad: Light Infantry Company Extraction and Recon Specialists
thothkins
Rumours of corruption are surfacing between Xeonauts and funding nations are beginning to surface. That's what the Tactical Infiltration Terror Squad is saying anyway. Since Xenonauts operate as a protection racket, could these reports be true? anotherdevil
New reports of a terror mission gone arwy have been attributed to the intervention of the Brutal Unstopable Massacre Squad. Xenonaut funding has appropriately just been increased
Gauddlike
Remember if you run into one of these highly trained teams of combat operatives just activate Operation Haste - Combat Resolution and Abort Protocol then double time it back to the Chinook.
