StellarRat
So, up to this point I've had no issues with Desura. I'm a premium pre-order purchaser (Kickstarter). Last night I verified my files like I normally do to make sure I had the latest 14.1. After that when I clicked "Play" and now it's demanding that I purchase the game (again) for $19.99...HELP! Max_Caine
First off, don't panic! This has definatly happened and been reported on this forum before (I can't find it atm). Don't forget you don't need the client to play the game, you can go into the Xenonauts folder and run the launcher from there.
MedievalSingularity
Actually, right now Desura appears dead like a parrot.
Mathalor
I can confirm this, it doesn't recognize my login, or my email, or any password reset, and the page under contact us says that this group isn't found. Edit: I just got in. Maybe they fixed it. Edited September 7, 2012 by Mathalor
StellarRat
Figured it out. There is drop down in the "Buy" pop-up. If you select "Premium Pre-order" (what I bought) it works fine. Apparently, it defaults to the standard pre-order and if you didn't buy that one it want to buy unless you change it to the Premium Pre-order. Very confusing and a poor interface implementation too. Max_Caine
I think we need to collate problems with Desura and any workarounds/solutions people have come up with. The same issues keep cropping up.
StellarRat
In the end the best solution was the standalone download. Everything else proved to be rubbish.
basyong
Having problems with Desura too. Update is always failing.
Bojanglez
I'm also having issues but am not sure if they are Desura related or not. Edited October 6, 2012 by Bojanglez
Max_Caine
Bojanglez, the problem you mentioned on your other thread sound similar to StellarRat's. Have you tried the solution he found?
Bojanglez
Bojanglez, the problem you mentioned on your other thread sound similar to StellarRat's. Have you tried the solution he found? No - my issue was actually the rather convoluted purchase process combined with multitasking when I should have been focusing.
