The laser machinegun seems like it should operate similarly to the ballistic one but both fire modes fire a 10-round burst. Pretty sure the cheaper fire mode is meant to fire 3 rounds.

A laser machine gun should have more firing modes and a higher rate of fire. In laser weapons, you can adjust the strength of the shot and the rate of fire. (There is no such possibility in ballistic weapons).

In a laser weapon, must add:

a shot with a power of x0.5;

a shot with a power of x1.0;

a shot with a power of x2.0.

Energy consumption is proportional to the power of the shot.

Please don't make design suggestions in bug report threads - it makes it harder for us to see when new bugs are being posted if people are bumping threads by posting unrelated messages, and other users don't tend to read these threads so it's not a good place to have a discussion.

Please post any design suggestions you have in the main Xenonauts 2 forum.
