I'll need to write a full post when my balancing work is done (there's a couple of bits I disabled for this build) but I believe the overall income difference is at least partially cancelled out by the fact shooting down UFOs now reduces Panic in the local region, which increases your monthly funding. It's something I'm happy to discuss though. Quote
