  1. I noticed new update for xenonauts and decided to play some and stream it in twitch. http://www.twitch.tv/tasku_plays_games/ It has been awhile when I last played. Horrible death and failure might await.. or mayhaps glory in battle. Any help is most welcome from experienced players. Notice: You can get your name in squad if you type a request in chat. Like Arma3, Payday 2, Elite: Dangerous maybe even Starbound. My game is modded with fan art.   3. Hi Max_Caine. I was feeling like playing some xenonauts. (It has been awhile!) Looking at the start post of this topic I did not see version for 1.09. Does the latest version work with new updated 1.09? I would love to see those Henrys artwork and lore+ in gameplay. Feel free to message me and I will keep my eye on updates on this topic aswell.   5. It is always nice to see the tactics that other people use. Forexample: I usually have 2 or even 3 scouts in my squad There certainly is more than one approach playing this game. I have not touched the insane yet, I usually go with veteran. I figured asking people throwing some tips of their own here. Personally I love the grenades. I usually use 2 grenades to make sure I get a kill. Direct hit with grenade does more damage too, so in case I miss 2 throws into next to alien I usually throw the third. For insane difficulty can someone answer me on this? Is the aliens more beefy in insane difficulty or explosive damage lower? @Kordanor seemed to make a statement guns only I simply cannot imagine rolling out a squad without versatile loadout! I have lost count how many times grenades saved my soldiers. Grenades used to be more versatile when you had TU to throw two of em.. I also used previously following tactic quite alot: Step1) Suppress enemy Step2) Move soldier close range for leathal blow. In older version of the game the close range shots was the only reliable shots. (I used this alot to get secure kills with heavy weapons) Heavys seem more accurate on longer ranges now tho. In my latest plays they end up high in kills. I noticed the TU costs for heavy weapons are fairly high for this to be solid tactic anymore Is there any weapons that are effective close range killer later in the tech tree? Anyone with experience trying mag or plasma weapons in 1-3 tiles away from enemies with good kill ratio? Also would be nice to know if there are some enemies who resist "shotgun" variant in mag/plasma tier.   6. Waiting for this game has been worth it! Amazing job with the 1.04 patch! I am still going to wait for next patch-up. Really good job trying to polish out the difficulty settings! Before the adjustments, I noticed some people getting very fustrated and simply desperate with the game. The difficulty was off the roof even with easy difficulty in the ranks of compleately new players. I hope that devs take it into consideration that the people who play with easy prolly want casual experience out of the game. (kids) And feedback from old forum hangabouts should go to veteran/insane difficulty adjustment I noticed that xenopedia information should be checked again. It has ALOT old information or just outdated stuff. Aircraft weapons seems to be outdated. Most of the researched weapons lack the statistic information entirely. (Forexample: Alenium missiles has no statistic information, in xenopedia) Someone quote this part to some redo-list if there is a proper one? Thank you for everyone involved making the game what it is!
  7. It does not seem to involve the smoke I also thought so because the smoke used to work funny when you tried to shoot enemies in it.. Anyway here is another opponent that I cannot target.   8. I had one slaughtering pretty much my entire squad. This bug is quite common. When the alien moves away from the tile it works normally again tho!   9. Here is a scout map that is bugging. There are some tiles in the map that you cannot pass through. I also encounter opponent that are invulnerable. After the opponent moves you can shoot tho, as you can see in the video I provide bellow. I also have save file for this but when the game is loaded it works normally.   11. I had some problems of aliens shooting through walls and being impossible to shoot at. I had to take the mod off for now just to make sure the bugs I report wont involve the mod. Aliens have been lately one-shot wonders and cheating! I am talking about the v1.0 A question I had in mind, did you Max have some modded values in you lore+ files for aliens? Just wondering cause I lately watched your flying circus videos Anyway, I stopped recording a LP entirely and started hunting bugs hoping to capture some for devs. Here is my clip of alien that cannot be targetted: http://youtu.be/0uyDOA-hcS4
  12. That guy is a hero! He made the game happen when money was really needed. I hope I find him as soldier in my LP. Absolutely epic!
  13. Extreme badluck or is this alien just impossible to harm with ballistic weapons? There are some smoke involved and I cannot get a red target over the alien. I figure my soldiers just aimed the ground.. ? (edit: Smoke not the cause of the bug by the looks of it, found another without smoke) I have played the game 450hours and just saying this was confusing The alien was impossible to harm unless I used explosives. In anycase my first mission was a slaughter Here is a video how the last alien slaughtering all of my men while I miss with everything unless I use explosives. I had one tip I wanted to mention to devs. I hope you prioritize the shield animations, since they are still missing It might sound like small thing but getting close to releasing I believe alot of people will cover the game. Including myself. Already in the early gameplay, if you equip shield the animations are not working for wielding a shield. For me playing the game, I don't mind that animations are not working but I assume some people could think soldiers with no weapons running around might look silly. I did notice that you guys have combat shield in the todo list but decided to mention this one particulary. Visual eye candy is important especially when we are telling people that the game is out soon. Just my thoughts anyway. Thanks for all the hard work guys! Goodluck with the launch!

  23. Hi guys! I was playing some Xenonauts and captured some of my gameplay for few tips and tricks for you guys. At end of month three I lost the entire funding from the South America! *WHOOPS! The game is pretty hard, at the moment atleast! I will post a video of my gameplay of "Kicking the alien ass, and yet losing" ..when I am done with the edit I would love to hear some thought from you guys, about the difficulty of the game currently. -Tasku
  24. And one more thing! I know there are alot of you artists here much better with photoshop than I am! I am currently looking for new channel logo and channel backround pictures! I would _TOTALLY_ love to see any you guys could show me. The channel backround picture should be 2560x1440max or 2048x1152min. I make my videos ads free and I only get expences of making these videos. I am also always intrested in free music and graphics that I can use in my videos. -Tasku
