Happened even to me!!during a normal industrial-corvette mission,seb's crew, a vortex armed alien striked 2 times a flamethrower man(it have a C4 in the backpak)and happened a huge chain explosion(gas and other xenonauts)that razed averything in a range about 3x a normal C4..i guessed a mysterious activation of all C4 in the squad..
  2. a point, i have encountered the alpha viper(the large whittish one) i have deployed my entire squad,the beast charged like a fury and killed all my squad, ok no problem(i have encountered other times that being and fleed)some questions, to stop this biological steamroller,i normally use C4 and granades, but the they are quick, last night i spotted one and thrown at him 7 paks of C4,survived charged and killed all the squad,the C4 are commulative or the first destroy all others?for ex i have to throw a napalm bomb and after threw all the c4 one by one(high risky because no all soldiers have the strenght to send it at a safe range)or the effect is commulative?using flashbang is useful?can i suppress him?setting the vipers behavior to fear the flames or the automatic fire to keep the beast away?i fell hard seeing any biological creature living after the equivalent of almost 6kg of C4...
  3. You need to play the mod just a little more . But the pseudo hippie cult of sirius part. Yes we allways want to kill some hippies :nixon intensifies:, JK . i have nothing against happy hippies:D..but the example is nice..seeing a hare krishna like man armed to the teeth and ready to "convince" that dirty nature rapers to respect the world and the good visitors from the skies with the little help of a plasma cannon is funny.. i have encountered max caine from the 41th millennium.. beside this,manning some scouts,small or even corvettes and landing ships (no mayor vessels,i believe the visitors cannot give mayor ships to humans,like for us giving a carrier or a B2 spirit to a crew of apes or goats) manned with such shady individuals would be a good idea for variating the game modus, for figures and mechanics a idea is for beginning game is to use normal human soldier(or if someone wants to create a distinctive new image)armed with normal human weapons(the alien captures weapons and equipment from battlefield or military depots and initially give them to the volunteers,because for the alien the human weapons seem like using a sling and a club for a modern mariner)with the advancing game use better armours and weapons.. seem to me a good idea..

  5. yes,but i intend a wholly manned ship..like all humans and a pair of alien "officers/supervisors"...it will be helpful to "salt" deepness and variety..it is possible without too hard work?..
  6. occured a strange idea.. implementing humans soldiers on the alien side????!!! the idea is plagiarized human prisoners or better and more disturbing human "volunteers"! like some pseudo-hippy sect that see the alien like gods or a superior race arrived from the stars to bring the humanity in a better and golden age/illuminated era...like some real movements in 60/70's;) armed with alien weapons and armours..or just like terran soldiers with alien weapons,used by aliens to mask real intentions or propaganda (they say "hey!even your son's fight on our side)
  7. implementing (for ex during alien "research" mission) drones with a burst fire vortex?it would be frightning a drone firepower united to the vortex saturation/incapacitating power, it can be justified with the alien need of capturing living humans to use in experiments or gargols creations... any idea of suicide alien units?a light drone without weapons but with a powerful engine(and subsequent higher TU's)full of high explosive(like a plasma C4) intended to do a kamikaze attack against closed human formations?or in the close areas of a base it will be devastating.. powering a gargols?after killed "explodes"(leaving the body intact to recover)and release a "cloud" of gas/acid that kill or stun soldiers?(i have see that the main contact with the gargols come to near or in "hand to hand" distances..)
  8. another question,enemy arrmour have a "fixed" amount of hit point?ex a andron or better a large viper,after several shots absorbed the armour will fade or regenerates like health?if i manage a heavy LMG shoot(4-5 LMG fielded)the armour absorb the first 50,60 bullets and then fades or regain protection every turn?
  9. yes.effectively the game is quite well balanced even without morale for xeno's i have to pose a question(this is my first playthrought with this mod)set up a manufacturing base is economically a good choose?for ex, after building livivg quarters,store room,workshops,engeeniers,unkeep man/buildings left some $$ to amortize loss and gain a profit in reasonable time?

  11. Other thing, i just realiced 'm' key is for melee attack, altough it doesnt really deal much damage. Don't you think it would be interesting to add some melee weapon addons (bayoneta for instance) at a cost of more weight of course, to deal in extreme close combat situations? this will be good idea for me..with some instances anyway..at he beginning i find ridiculous attacking an alien invader with a regular bayonet:D when a close rage shotgun will do little.. in a more advanced stage(after discovering alien alloy fabbrication or laser/plasma tech)a superheated plasma blade(dagger or better a sword) or a alien alloy chainsaw capable of cutting an andron armor like a hot knife into the butter would be interesting..it this mod where even the ceasan non-combattant fire a lot and easily kill unarmoured soldier close combat is rare and always suicidal..but if managed well the idea is interesting.. p.s i have played the old EU and TFD and the "Drill" to kill the lobster like alien were very cool!
  12. Apart from that, did you modders read the poisonous viper shapeshifting issue post? Any hint for that? It is a bug or bad installation? Several ppl have had the same problem in Hellfire.QUOTE it's happened to me onece...the being was surrounded in fire and smoke, after a big blast of C4 the viper"shapeshifted" into a ceasan soldier and throwed three acid granades(during the end turn/hidden movement and for the full next turn) at the next hidden movementit "returned "to the original shape..for me is a bug..the mod was downloaded and installed without any problem, i have found some other problems, invisible alien eggs, apollo scout aircraft present into the hangar but invisible and not usable(even un-decommissionable)i think a bug..(happened on my brother's gameplay i've never build any apollo,i find them a waste of time/money)

Hi guys! awesome mod!i have only one problem at the time..VIPERS.. i'm at november(end) and i have spotted a large viper(the purple one) and a whittish one(omega?delta?),ok, i take the squad and attack the being,(i know tey are TOUGH,i have spotted another in a small ufo and ended the miission closed intothe ufo for 5 turns:)) i throwed on it a real firestorm(have bringed and stored in charlie 6 missile launcher's,a bunch of missiles,a lot of C4,bombs of every type,a truk of ammo)killed all the alien in city and left the super xeno for the end(the purple one) i have to finally flee because all the stuff fielded end exausted all ex's and ammo the moster never died..in another case i have encountered the white one(that seem like a large xenomorph of the film)the moster charged like a steamroller the well positioned squad and slayed half squad,never afraied of the flow of lead throwed at him(even tried with napalm bombs and subsequent throw of four C4 into the flames:D)the beast was finally knoked down by a massive throw of stun granades and and a hail of vortex strikes(i have no more ammo for human weapons)what can i do for kill these fiends?Call chuk norris?an artillery barrage or a B52 airstrike? however really great mod! thanks!
  15. hi guys! i have the feeling that the keep wage for aircrafts is a bit high..i haven't serious problems with money for now(few but not so impairing)but every aircraft cost like a new one every month..it's a bit strange:confused:..a 50 or 70% would be more realistic(compaired with a incresed cost/keep for radars). opinions?

Thank chris! this update is really much better ! but i feel the loss of money a bit sharp..is hard to cover almost all the world and providing enough air firepower to avoid region loss..a smoothed founding loss were really welcomed! p.s: i have seen 2 times alien unfireable...seen by the squad but the cursor never target him,all around the ufo's gates and all in industrial maps(but this is happened only two times) awesome patch however
  17. i have played a lot of xeno's..and the last build have impressed a lot..negatively..the old economic balance set seen more accurate..this is a lot crippling in early game a loss of 500k is a bit hard to absorb..a less traumatic impact is welcome and is less dangerous on long term strategic chooses

Hi guys! fully agreed with legit..the last version for me is a bit unbalanced(economically)..at the end of 3rd month i have lost 3 region and another 2 is going..(veteran dif)the older versions are much better, the bases is too costly(750k would be optimal for me) calculating the cost of building hangars,radar and aircrafts ,maintenance and continous loss of money and ridiculous founding from the few nations with the"+" sign on the founding list building a rag of air defence is really hard! with this cash even losing a man in combat is a hard blow on my finances, not to spoke about making armours and laser weapons. ..the game is bit frustrating now..
  19. thanks,but i have seen very little differences between ceasan and sebillian fire..bad luck i suppose.. the main problem is economical..i have played with all exp version in the last year and this is one of the worst!the old stable version were much more balanced!
  20. hi guys! i just playing the new stable(perhaps?)final version and i have found some well know problems repaired in the old versions.. first,i have played for three months(veteran dif) and behalf a chronical lack of founds(and a constant lowering of money from about all nations,the few with a "+" is of ridiculous amounts)i have lost a province at the end of 2nd month and another 2 at the end of the 3rd..well..let continue play..is a my experimental session..the cost of building bases are too high for this setting!a million $ is too..it would be better 750k..so it would be possible to create a rag of air defense to mitigate the alien activity and recover some more cash or at least hold the money hemorrhage..damn!during an alien invasion the governements of the earth are so coward to put down the pants after a couple of months and some minor attacks?little more than probe incursions?(however always,when possible,counterattacked and with many shooted down)this is a problem seen many exp version ago.. this is my main problem for now 2)psionics were nerfed?in the last version they were simply too powerful!i have seen the first psions after the first month and used unnerving to my soldiers even out of sight of any alien and into the dropship..if they begin to control soldiers in the same way as the old version the game is only frustrating and broken. 3)smoke granades are quite useless now..i used the widely and every time the aliens successfully hit the soldiers..will work or is just me that I have a damn bad luck? thanks for the responses and be happy if someone have found same problems or is just a my impression..
  21. ver 21 stable..medium dif..large andron base..a nightmare..after fleeing from a large ceasan base i have tried another base..impossible alien psi power,i have sent the best of the best of my soldiers,wolf armours,plasma weapons and fusion granades,morale over 75 for every soldiers and after four round of combat loose half of my forces by alien controlled comrades..the game is too frustrating and umbalanced now,prefer the old version with nerfed psi power..i hope a reset and lowered psi power in future( limited tile radius from the controller:es 20 or 30 tiles,or enhanced RR with bonus for high morale troops,or some protection devices(ex mind shields,special helmets..)a large base is now simply unplayable or extemely frustrating or fatal for next missions..form a squad of decent troops in middle game is far too difficult,if i loose half or 3/4 of vet troops every base..only start new game and blame..
