  2. i was searching for something on the internet and I found it in a forum, where the guy posting had a link from ad.fly. Although I am very cautious when it comes to similar "referral services", this looks kind of legit, since they do not ask you for any kind of payment. I was wondering if anyone has any previous experience with this service and is it possible to make some free money to pay for example for a DLC for a game ?? The main screen is kind of overwhelming, sure, with all those scrolling news on the bottom and item micromanagement...but if you get the hang of it, I think you actually get used to it at the end. In-game, I think the UI is quite decent, like all the others FPSs out there...with the interesting addition of the HRV (legal wall-hack!!)... Plus, it has so many different game types, practically no wait time and lag issues (so far for me...), all of which actually add up to a favorable decision on my part! Still, this is my very personal and very biased opinion! I am addicted, because I always get 4th place!!! can't seem to be able to push through the higher ranks!!!! But I am still trying!!!!
  4. Hello community! If you need something to take of the edge and desperately need to shoot at someone, until the full release of Xenonauts... check out Blacklight Retribution!! It's a very nice First Person Shooter with some great ideas in place (has a built-in wallhack, so no more camping!!!). Absolutely worth a shot! (literally!) And if you are in a helping mood, follow my Referral Link so I can get some extra goodies from the game!!   5. It happened in two Crash sites in Africa tileset. The soldiers walked straight through the cockpit. It happened only when the dropship was located with a SE orientation (like the screenshot). When a UFO crashed in the same vicinity, the map was a different one, with a different dropship orientation, so no walkthrough was possible. *EDIT: Applied Hotfix2. Problem still there!

  9. Still no luck..... I start the turn behind a wall, I have another soldier from the other side so I have a clear view of the landscape, but still, the toon with the Buzzard armor won't jump over the wall (has > 80 TUs)...Instead he walks all the way around the wall, spending all the available TUs... BTW, how can I take a screenshot? PrintScreen doesn't seem to work for me. It captures the Windows Desktop instead of the game screen. is there another hotkey?? (I haven't played since v14 so lots of things have changed!!)
  10. I am sorry if I am asking something obvious...but how do I use the Buzzard's armor "jump feature"?? I started my turn behind a cement fence, clicked on the other side of the fence, but instead of jumping, the round-about path was highlighted... Is there a "Use" key for the armor? I can't seem to find it anywhere!

  12. +1 to the topic! Give us extended range or closer Terror Sites, especially in early game! I usually build my first base in Egypt and I always get Terror Sites in China, Australia and the US.... Clever Alien scum....

  14. That "walls" part was sooooo true!!!! but I still want a turn counter!!! PS. And when you say "Stand Still" you mean that even if I crouch them, the 5-turn counter gets a reset???? I think I know now why I can't seem to "secure" the UFOs!!!!
  15. Right after the research breakthrough, I constructed an Allenium Missile and mounted in on an F-17. After the plane intercepted and fired at an alien fighter, it resupplied its ammo and by a strange, miraculous way, another Allenium Missile was mounted on the hardpoint. I replaced the Allenium Missile with the Sidewinder counterpart and instead, mounted in on My MiG...which again, after firing the missile, it just restocked! So now I have an Allenium missile which I can do as I please!!! I will test to see if manufacturing another 3, solves my Air Supperiority problems, since I will have 2 F-17s or 1 MiG fully loaded!
  16. Can we use your maps also for Terror Missions, like the process mentioned in this thread?? Sorry for the constant questions, but I really enjoyed the flavor your maps added to the Alpha gaming experience!!!!
  17. Another thing I would like to be added, is Turn Counting. Somewhere in the UI (it the original it was the start of each human turn, after the hidden movement). I know is trivial, but it would be nice to know how long it takes me to clear a mission. Also, if the feature "Secure and Hold UFO for 5 turns" actually works ( I haven't been able to Hold a UFO yet...any pointers for that???), it would be helpful in a way to count down turns for your victory!
  18. I don't know if this is possible (programming, resource consumption etc) but I would like to see more "Hidden Movement" screens. I really like the existing one, but after a few battles it gets annoying, especially since my troops have evolved into moving killing machines!!! It would be great if there was a screen (or more) for each tileset so it could actually reflect the situation for each combat mission. For example, a screen inspired by the movie "The Thing" for arctic missions, something urban or industrial for Terror or crashsites in populated areas, a digital remake of the screen from the original x-com (or something close to it if there are any copyright matters.. ) and so on. And to go as step further, maybe it could be manipulated by modding an xml file, thus letting the user choose what ever he wants to watch while alien scum terrorize and kill innocent civilians!!!! Anyhow, Thank you devs for this, already, great game!
  19. The fact that whenever I play one of your random maps, the crashed UFO is never on fire, you think is by coincidence?
  20. And another thing I would like to ask. The fact that the area around the dropship gets blacked out with Fog of War after my troops leave the vicinity, is intended by the maps you created or is it from the Xenonauts engine? Either way, I think it should be left illuminated (if possible) throughout the mission, since the pilots are still in the chopper!
  21. First of all thank you for your contribution! I was rather bored playing the same maps over and over again! Is it just me or is everyone downloading the "Industrial 13.2" version instead of the "Farm" maps? I just played 2 missions on the Full Game [14.1]. The first one was amazing, since it was a total new battleground! The second mission, was also a new one, but I had the classic problem of the alien spawning inside the UFO walls and couldn't do anything about it! But while I was scouting the whole map, just in case I run into the scum, I noticed that although I pressed TAB to raise the level and get to the second floor of a store room, I found out that there was no second floor!! Am I doing something wrong or your map generator cannot draw upper levels?
  22. I agree with that assumption, but then you could also say that for the transferring of goods between bases. Why need a C17 (which can be shot down also) when the transfer can be arranged by that same "team"! And that "team" seems to move in light speed, because by the time the mission ends, the artefacts are ready to be researched, when the dropship is still taking off!!!
  23. I think that in a realistic point of view, alien bodies and artefacts retrieved from the crash sites should become available for research AFTER the dropship returns to base. It makes more sense this way.
  24. Normal game mode, early crash site (#4 or #5 I think). I arrived at the scene, literally searched every tile. I even went to the top floor of the two barns on the map!! I found the crashed UFO with 2 dead reptilians inside, stayed in the UFO with 3 soldiers for 10 turns, while having the others run around along with the Tank, but still nothing. I went back to the dropship, aborted the mission and got a "Poor - 0" evaluation, with 1 Alien Escaped in the report! Is the "Secure the UFO for 5 turns" condition bugged? And where was that alien scum????
