  4. I will have 10.8 to test on once the new 27" iMac is released. Until then, can people post a link to their log files to see if theres any clue to the problem there? I am afraid it is a driver issue which would mean waiting on a fix from Apple.
  5. I don't have any knowledge on when V18 will be out. Looking at the screenshots those look like driver bugs. Without source code to the engine I wont be able to work around them. I will try replicating them with my own code and reporting it Apple. 9400m is pretty old, but I think should still be supported.

  7. The only difference between V16 and V17.1 is the assets. No code changes. You will need to wait for V18 for that.

  9. Try sudo /usr/bin/xenonauts It should be set to run for all users though. Can also try chmod 755 /usr/bin/xenonauts xenonauts

  11. If anyone else is having these problems on 10.8.2 please let me know. I cannot reproduce on 10.6 or 10.7.
  12. I will see if I can do anything to speed things up, but we don't have the engine source code so I am very limited in what I can do.
  13. $100k doesn't even cover the basic yearly salary of a senior game programmer in California. I think people vastly underestimate the true cost of games because too many indies are willing to work on the basis they will become rich and famous in the future, which is so rare that its big news when it does happen.
  14. I don't think any of your points are Mac specific. Perhaps try posting these as separate bug reports so the dev team can fix?
  15. The slowness is due to loading all the assets. Unfortunately unless you have an SSD this will be slow, especially on older macs since they used to come with slower laptop drives as standard. This will hopefully be fixed when asset loading is optimized (not specific to any platform)
  16. If Chris doesn't want to do a sequel himself he could probably have another team work on one. It's usually best to have a couple of projects going on at once, since you can pool some of the talent together and have more chance of surviving as a professional game studio.
  17. That's my fault, I have fixed, not sure if there will be a 16.1 but if there isn't I will create a new release anyway.

  19. There are a couple known issues unique to Mac V14, but they are engine bugs, so unlikely to get fixed.
  20. All pre-orderers can download the Windows, Mac or Linux versions of the game. Right now the Mac version is at V14. Chris decided to skip V15 for Mac since V16 will be released very soon.
  21. I don't want the law to be abused by covering any offensive message, but excessive abuse, bullying and trolling should be punishable. Being anonymous is not an excuse to be an asshole.
