  1. No not a new game. It was a loaded game, and I already had two bases.
  2. No that's because not all the descriptions have been written for the game yet. It is still alpha after all.
  3. Can confirm this bug has persisted into 12.1, first time I've gotten it personally also.
  4. Had a bug where I loaded up a game and it created radar and range circles that followed my mouse around.
  5. So I've got a bug where dead aliens that are killed in the crash are appearing where they are, without my having any line of sight on them.
  6. I have to wonder Oktober, why are you posting this in the female mod section, it seems horribly off topic.
  7. Just had it again, against a suppressed alien with a machine gun. Only seems to happen to me when the bullet it going to hit the target.
  8. Just had one as well. Had shot at the alien and hit. Shot with an M-16, caused a crash. It was a Sebillian. I'm wondering if it has to do with the suppression system trying to interact with an alien that is just about to be killed.
  9. I was curious if you'd get money for it rather than it being destroyed if I picked it up. Mostly because that part of the map was clear at that point, but was still clearing out the crashed ship so that soldier had nothing better to do. Also noticed that when he carried it at end of mission it actually lowered his base AP to 14.
  10. Is it just me or is the texture for the tileset much sharper now?
  11. First there is a clipping bug with things like fences and walls, where they will appear instead of the character model, creating a clipping issue. Will try and get a screenshot if needed. Also had a hard crash. I picked up an alien corpse in a mission, then went on another mission before returning to base (nice having more scouts to go after), and realized that the weight was giving him 14 action points. Tried to drop the alien corpse inside the chopper and it caused a crash.
  12. Awesome, looking forward to see new stuff after playing the kickstarter demo perhaps more than I should have.
  13. Ah, no. Annually. So that's be about $12,500 monthly per scientist. And looking at the pay scientists get in game is $15,000 a month that sounds about right to me.
  14. I would imagine they'd come from both. And no $150,000 is not that much to pay a scientist, especially of the caliber that you'd need for the Xenonauts' labs. I know professional scientists and even government ones get paid more than that. I always imagined the cost of the planes was the cost of upgrading the donated F-16 to the F-17 variant, which is more in line with reality.
  15. The camera could use some work that's for sure. I've been having the same problem as the OP, though I find it more annoying than eye-wrenching. Also wish the camera for when it is the alien's turn focused on your soldiers being shot than the alien itself.
  16. Don't forget South Korea. There's already an Israeli mod with the Yom Kippur War in. Indians would have experience from the 1971 war with Pakistan. China could have the then incredibly recent war they had with Vietnam (I forget does the game start Jan. 1979?). Could also have the Sino-Soviet border conflicts for both the Soviet Union and China. For the French you have the Chad-Libyian conflict. Algerian war is a little old for most soldiers I think. What other nations do you think the Xenonauts would recruit from? It would make sense to put in all of the NATO and Warsaw Pact countries in to some degree.
  17. I don't really mind the flat geoscape but it would be cool if planes traveled the way they would in reality, and radar went over the top. I realize not likely to happen and not a game breaker.
  18. I'm new to the whole XCOM genre and game series. Had heard of it before but hadn't given it that much thought. Then the E3 stuff for XCOM:EU came out and I spent an evening reading everything I could about it, which lead me to Xenonaughts. Was originally skeptical about it, but I decided to give the demo a spin and really liked what I saw. Knowing female soldiers would be in sealed the deal (it's funny the small things that push you over the edge isn't it?). I'm generally a strategy and RPG gamer, which might be why I like Xenonauts so much, since it gives you some of both.
