    I thought so too. Does anyone have any info on what the other training modules were intended to be (before being dropped I understand)? It would be interesting to know.

    I can see why it's been requested so often. It would make for an excellent set piece. But, it's still a set piece considering that you don't have to go through a week or so of the game to get a mission, let alone come up agianst the Hovering Clankies, or that map.

    poor alien travels the galaxy to find love, only to still end up on the shelf :-) why, yes it is past my bedtime...

    Three scenarios:- 1) The nation has signed a pact with the aliens already, so you know the local forces will be hostile. 2) The locals are mind controlled by the aliens to fight you. Either individually or through a local force command structure. 3) The battle is going badly for the Xenonauts. Support from the country is low enough that it triggers a switch in the local forces. Some link between nation support and local force morale?

    10.1 actually worked on it :-) Since my last download was without Desura, I had Sonar issues again. They apperaed as me being unable to name a base and the game freezing a couple of times before it made up it's mind to try and quarantine it. But, nothign to do with Desura this time round. So, I actually got to play the build for a few hours. Yay!

    I like having to fight my way back to the dropship. Something I've just had to do actually. Sure, it smarts, but not as much as losing all the soldiers you've trained up and their equipment. I alwasy thought that 2 of the soldiers were in the pilot seats up until landing. Likewise that the aliens blew it up if all of your troops were killed.

    Yup, it's been confirmed that by ordering early you still get your goodies and can ask to get more beyond the preorder teirs.

    What if the local forces turn on your Xenonauts, either through mind control or becuase their nations support is so weak. Now that I'd like.

    I really think that the dev team are neglecting the clear niche in the market for a 15 hour game of... Xenohostage 'Sarge, he wants to talk to his mum! but she's on Zeta Reticuli!'

    Gaaaaahhhh! Desuraaaaaaa! That pretty much sums up my experience with them. I see that download without desura is sitting at 10, while there's a 10.1 available. So I'll try to use it yet again.

    Of course, there is already a woman in the game. There's a lady who hands the generals their briefing folders at the end of every month.

    Much the same as previous versions. I had issues with the game crashing trying to name a new base on loading v10. However, on the third attampt to load the .exe vanished from the folder. It has been placed into quarantine by Sonar. By downlaoding without Desura, it seems to have problems in picking up the file location with each download.

    Agree with Gorlom. I'd much rather have the option. Personally, I can live without seeing a difference in the sprites, just to have the variety in the soldier options.

    well, doing the sound effects for them would be pretty easy. You'd just need a coconut :-)
