  1. Necro, anyone? The laser weapons and first researchable armour should be available in the current pre-order version and I think they look pretty convincing. Hopefully you'll agree with me when you see them!
  2. We're still working on them. We've done the sketches for about half of them so far. It's not going as quickly as I'd hoped but sadly there's only so much I can do to speed the artist working on them up.
  3. It's either a problem with spawning, or GJ mentioned that an unintended side-effect of his AI model is that the aliens can detect mis-set tiles and exploit them against the player...
  4. Meh maybe I'll hotfix this for the Desura branches. I mentioned it in the 14.1 Released thread. I guess it is a bit gamebreaking to leave in for a month until the next release.
  5. For the confused, the second v14.1 is the true one. It seemed the original V14.1 was missing some files for some reason so I updated it again to make sure there were no unexpected crashes.
  6. Also, we haven't really balanced the progression yet. It's a longstanding complaint that too many fighters spawn.
  7. It's a known problem with the engine. But as we can't get access to the source code, sadly we can't do anything about it.
  8. V9 was March. Looking back, a lot has changed. V9 was when we first put in our new painted Chinook tiles!
  9. I've uploaded a Mac standard pre-order standalone now. Hopefully it'll be authorised soon and then you guys can test if it's available for you. I'm not sure why it is not already there...
  10. 1) Shift + click should work to give aircraft waypoints. 2) Terror site casualties should be added to the ticker really. If they're not, it's a bug that should be reported. 3) Game's not balanced yet. It should be random. 4) Don't think we'll have time for this, I'm afraid.

Some bugs are fixed but not many, this release is really just intended for us to get the standalone and Desura branch releases to the same version (it's not good for bug reporting if they're different). Hopefully most of the bugs will be cleared up by V15 next month. I think V14 is out on Mac as a standalone?
  13. This has been uploaded to both the standalones and the Desura branches. It's basically just a hotfix - now the weapon impact animations (explosions, bullet plumes etc) should be playing properly. It should be authorised later, although there's a possible synch issue on the Premium Pre-order branch that I've emailed Desura about to get fixed up if it does exist. There's a known issue with the strength gain formula being too strong in this build, and also I've played with the alien plasma pistols and light drones a bit so they have more bullet-like projectiles to represent their lower power. EDIT - this synch bug is more serious than we thought. Bear with us, this might take longer than we thought. The standard pre-order branch has access to V14.1, but this is not fully complete, and the premium branch is still on V14. Until the two sets of files are synched with each other we can't finish the update.
  14. Tam - yes, probably. That said, the stances of the soldiers vary dependent on what type of weapon they have equipped so it's not always just a weapon swop.

  17. If you use a windowed resolution where both sides of the resolution are smaller than your desktop resolution, the game should appear in a window and be playable. Have you tried that?
  18. Interesting. I wonder if the rocket scenario mentioned above means that stun damage is not being modified by armour correctly?
  19. I refuse to rename it mostly as a mild form of trolling. Also I can't be bothered.
  20. It's an understandable request but I don't think the way the game is coded makes it very easy. I forget why exactly but that was the long and short of it.
