  1. True, it's part of the gamble. It creates suspense and relief when you don't shoot your man in the back, and instead kills the enemy.
  2. Yes, it's quite in lieu with the weather over here actually, it's basically barbecue weather and no blizzards in sight.
  3. This made me physically laugh. (Though I didn't know either. ) Damn coders putting in nice little features you never asked for eh?
  4. They do? Currently I'm selling off tons of the stuff to get money.. since I get A LOT of it.
  5. Actually a dynamic range wouldn't be too shabby to have. A circle overlay that displays how far in a straight line the whatever can reach before having to return to base. But of course with the option of ordering it further.
  6. Yes, thothkins is talking of on Goldhawk's end. But it's wrong, since people with pre-orders aren't supposed to choose a tier and have money substracted from it, rather they are supposed to pledge an amount $20-$30 below the tier they want and say they are pre-orderers as well. At least, that's how I understood it. I forgot to, and I don't want to change my pledge, so can gift one of my keys.
  7. Actually, what little fluff I read while playing nr 1 stated that the reason the Krogans were becoming extinct was because they had too little sex, they were all busy fighting. o.0
  8. Uhh.. what? You can make as much lazor ammo as you like?
  9. Yeah, I was hoping for that as well. And it's not too unlikely. As long as there can be enough buzz at the end.
  10. Hmpf, there's no pleasing some people. Do a Kimberly and fake it! ;D
  11. I have a lot of gaming friends, and you can be damn sure I'll take a screenshot and /flex a lot. You can give us your code in the guaranteed "what's your code" thread and then we can play with you...
  12. The precision laser rifle does more damage than the ballistic one, but by the time you get it, you are probably meeting tougher aliens as well. A good indication on the lizard people is how much black armour they are wearing.
  13. Yes, you definitely need to get the latest build. It's what we all use as a basis for all our discussions and our answers to problems!
  14. Something like this is being discussed in the Geopolitical Mod. And it would have to be in a mod at this point. The idea is sound, but adding assets like that at this stage of the game would take too long according to Goldhawk. I also surmise that after the MiG you don't use strictly human tech for interceptors or transports any more, as you'll start building some bad ass stuff based on alien tech.
  15. I've got to agree with Gauddlike here. It could start out as a fun mechanic, but it might turn quite tedious. And what happens if you order one to move out of line of sight? Or if someone start using them as shields for their troops? Something a civilian just wouldn't do. As long as their AI is ok, I think it'll be good. What would be cool was some different behaviours, like following your troops around, or trying to surrender to aliens. Not all the time, but some would be too shocked and naive to do anything else. People are stupid after all. So you might have to use stun batons to protect them from themselves. Again, this would get tedious on every map, but would be a nice wrench in your plans every now and again.
  16. My sister just asked me to babysit since her father in law turns 60 on Saturday, so I'll be doing that.
  17. Yeah.. I'm picturing walkways and such between major facilities, and large indoor areas to search for aliens.
  18. Good point actually. I know a guy called Harry. And I knew him for several years, and a lot of people still know him, as Harry, but his real name is Aleksander. It's a lot of "Who's Aleksander? - It's Harry. - Ohhhh. What?"
  19. That's fine. As long as it's like TrashMan says, a skill that increases with use like the stats. However, it's a bit fine detail. A good marksman is pretty accurate with any weapon, at least similar ones. I'm pretty good with pistols and rifles. But not fantastic with a shotgun, but accuracy with one is kinda moot I guess. My skill with a couple of specific rifles makes me better at them overall, like reload drills, jam drills and such. Maybe (very) slightly better accuracy with sustained fire because I know how the weapon kicks, where the trigger sweet spot is etc.
  20. Welcome to the forums, and I'm glad you like the thing we like! AI is placeholder at the moment, so expect big changes there. You won't think air combat is super easy later in the game when there are escorts and fighters are gunning for your dropship!
  21. Yeah, I thought about that as well. But I was thinking that you had no way of knowing that you'd get pieces that matched. However if, on that map, there are only submaps that match I guess it's the better way.
  22. I'd say wicked burn, but then again I wouldn't want relations to get icy. oooh
