Martian
Got 1.06, happy to say that I got to play a number of missions before the grahics glitches made a return. In 1.05HF, the game would be rendered unplayable by them by the third ground attack. This time, I managed ten missions before it gave up the ghost. Still, for what I have been able to play, it has been thoroughly enjoyable. Hoping for a swift cure. Edit: On a happy note again, I tried restarting the game and discovered that the gitches vanished. For how long, I don't know, but hopefully for another ten missions! Huzzah! Edit 2: Aaaand back to sadness. Could only keep going a few more turns before the game crashed my Mac. Rebooted and tried again, but only a few more turns before the game snuffed it again/ Edited June 24, 2014 by Martian
ko2fan
It seems to be the industrial map that causes the glitches. I will try narrowing down the problem, but it may take some time to find the right combination that stops it.
Cantello
1280x720 is a very small resolution and I assume your monitor isn't unduly large despite being having four times as many pixels, so that's always going going to come out badly in that situation. If you're going to play windowed then use 1920x1080 and the fonts should be fine there too. You are right, it is a rather small resolution, but it is offered in the settings window, so I would expect it to be playable. However, when played at 1920x1080p, the fonts are better (legible at least) but still far from good. As you can see with the below screenshots, there is still 'wobble' in the lower three lines at 2560x1440. If not at the highest resolution available in consumer macs, where are the fonts supposed to be good? KevinHann
If it's just industrial that messes it up for you you could remove the tileset from the game altogether.
vlad86k
I also had this glitches on desert (military base) map, when I played 1.05HF version.

I'd prefer to not have to keep removing features every time we find an issue with one. We have already had to remove auto-resolve air combat on Mac and Linux due to crashes. Chris
Cantello - weird, the text doesn't look anything like that on my monitor at those resolutions. Not sure what's causing that at all. I guess you've no other systems to try it on to see if it affects them too? (Although, as an aside, I still disagree with the 1280x720px thing - iPhone screens almost have that resolution these days, but you can't expect a game designed for desktop monitors to be playable on a five-inch screen. Screen size matters as much as resolution.)
Mt_Honkey
Yeah, the industrial maps are often unplayable, it's not just an annoyance thing. I had to airstrike every industrial site, and when a terror site came down on one I just lost the game because I couldn't play the map. So it really does come down to removing industrial maps or not playing the game until it's fixed. And also, I've seen the problem to a lesser extent in other maps with multi-story structures, and also sometimes at the site of explosions for a turn or two afterward. Cantello
I guess you've no other systems to try it on to see if it affects them too? Have only tried it on Windows 7 on a virtual machine (VMware in this case). The result of a new game in fullscreen and 1680x1050 is below: I will try again tomorrow with a proper windows machine at work (during lunch break of course). Do I need admin rights to run it? Gu1111
I bought the game and was very disappointed that it's unplayable on the mac, can't finish the first mission because of graphic corruption and the game crashes once in a while. I'm glad to see that this forum is active and that the issues are being fixed because I can't wait to play the game. Where do I find and how can I submit my crash logs? I am sorry to hear you are having issues, the game should not be unplayable. Try reloading, or restarting if you experience a graphical glitch. So far out of 15 hours of play, I have only had the graphical glitch twice. We are continuing to work on fixing the glitch that appears in the industrial map. Cantello
I don't think so - it doesn't change the registry etc. Let me know how it turns out. It worked by just unzipping the files into a folder, even without admin rights. Results of 1600x900 (highest resolution possible for me in a window and at full-screen I did not manage to take screenshots with Win7): Upper image Windows (Thinkpad T420, no special graphics card, I guess) Lower image Mac (iMac ca. 2011, Radeon 6970M) Both scaled to 200% for better visibility:

Cantello
1600x900 on Mac with latest 1.06. That actually looks great! Fullscreen or windowed? Which graphics card? For me it does not matter, full-screen and windowed have the same results. Do you need any kind of additional information to help solve this? Glad to hear you're working on it still - the industrial map bug does make the game essentially unplayable for me at least - industrial maps crash every 1-2 turns, and if you end up in a mission that requires them it's pretty much campaign over. Really like what I've played so far and hoping this is fixed quickly.
CousCous
Not sure if this has already been reported (couldn't see it), but I get a crash to desktop if I auto resolve air combat. Win or lose, I get the report dialog and when it is closed (using any of the options), the game crashes to desktop Have tried it multiple times at various resolutions from 1024x768 to 2560x1600 in case it's related to other graphical glitches, but no dice v 1.06 Retina Macbook Pro 10,2 OS X 10.9.3 (Mavericks) 1 Processor, 2 Cores running at 3ghz 8mb 1600 MHz DDR3 Ram Intel HD Graphics 4000 1024mb VRam Great game, btw

ko2fan
I just played 2 industrial maps without the graphical glitch, so I may upload the latest version I have and see if Chris can have some others test it.
Rozen
Autoresolve air combat should be disabled on Mac and Linux. Just FYI I'm running 1.06 and autoresolve air combat still shows up and still crashes if you click it.
Wuju
I just played through an industrial mission with only minimal problems. My observation is that there's something up with the white gas tank model. Whenever there are one or more on the screen, animation gets incredibly laggy but when I made the effort always to scroll around them, things seemed fine. It could just be a coincidence, but I figured it might be helpful to tell you all (devs specifically). Also, there's an issue with selecting resolution when playing on a secondary monitor with my MBP (native resolution 1920x1080) This is the resolution select menu: And this is how the game is displayed on my monitor when I select 1920x1080 unwindowed: Edited June 26, 2014 by Wuju Edited menu thumbnail so that the options were legible
Chris
@Cantello - that's pretty weird. It may be an issue with your monitor or graphics cards drivers, perhaps? Does anyone else involved in this thread have problems with the text being blurred on their Mac version?
