[V21 - Ground Combat] aliens can chuck grenades through walls and possible ESP

I found a room in an alien base that had a doorway with a red symbol over it. I tried to get a soldier to open it, but I got no open door indicator. When I tried to move him beyond it, it took him on a long senic route around the base. I was preparing to enter the portals in the room when a grenade flew in from the unopenable room, and obliterated half of my squad.

I say there might be some possible ESP shenannigans involved due to the fact that none of my troops were visible to aliens at the time.

Those red-lighted doors are locked. You can't open them; you need to destroy them to pass.

The 'ESP' thing was solved in one of the experimental builds, I think. Certainly, it's not happening any more.

The problem isn't that the door was locked, but that a I saw something chuck a grenade through it without opening the door in the first place.

having an alien snipe a soldier from the blackness is one thing, having an alien wall-hack a grenade into your squad is another.

Ugh, sorry, I managed to not read that properly.

It's possibly because none of the base submaps have roofs on them, which means in game terms there's nothing to stop things from being thrown over walls.

It's fixed in the Experimental builds, anyway.

Yeah, just had this happen to me (the Base commander, a Sebillian, chucked a grenade over one of the red locked doors) in an alien base with V1.09. Lost some nameless squaddie so, no biggy... but that could have been catastrophic
