The problem isn't that the door was locked, but that a I saw something chuck a grenade through it without opening the door in the first place. having an alien snipe a soldier from the blackness is one thing, having an alien wall-hack a grenade into your squad is another.

I found a room in an alien base that had a doorway with a red symbol over it. I tried to get a soldier to open it, but I got no open door indicator. When I tried to move him beyond it, it took him on a long senic route around the base. I was preparing to enter the portals in the room when a grenade flew in from the unopenable room, and obliterated half of my squad. I say there might be some possible ESP shenannigans involved due to the fact that none of my troops were visible to aliens at the time.
