Ok @Charon this is a problem related to the Farm maps:

Some houses/buildings have got invisible walls, doesn't affect gameplay but its a little bit confusing. 

It happened in previous versions too, but not sure if in vanilla happened, as i barely played vanilla.

Im afraid i can't take a screenshot, i tried but it seems that i can just capture desktop...

I bet this has been already reported, but i don't find where are the reported bugs (if there is a section, where is it)?

invisible walls wont get fixed by me, if somebody else has the time though ;).

screenshots: win 7 ? deactivate aero, otherwise google your OS + take ss in game

There is a known bugs section in the main page, otherwise

  1. we immediatelly fix most bugs or
  2. put them under the known bugs issue tracker and try to fix it later ( main page ) or
  3. state that this won´t be fixed, at least not by us

Just happenend the counter attack medium xenomorph freeze:

Im my turn, i attack with batton and i presume the xeno wants to counter attack, then the game freezes, music still sounding,the gas is moving, i can move the mouse but nothing else...

I send you the savegame just in the moment you can attack (Alice) and see the results. Im not sure if everytime the xeno would counterattack, im this case i tried several times and the result is always the same.

With the editor, i can see the xeno had 39 mov points left. If i set them to 0, then the game doesn't freeze when i attack.

I have seen other times this xeno counterattacking, so there must be a condition when the game freezes.

The modloader and so is the same as posts above...

confirmed the bug with the save.

I guess it definitely has something to do with the reactionmelee. And with loading a save. Here is an example below that verifies that reaction shots at melee range are definitely possible without a freeze - while i also confirmed that the reaction shot from loading a save freezes the game. I guess this is yet another example of what goes wrong when you load a save.

It might help or not but the most stable saves are manuell ones. manuell > auto > quicksave.

Reaper just infected a civilian and then moved, sharing the same position. Not the first time it happens (also in previous versions i remember).

When xenonauts fired, they killed the reaper but the infected civilian couldn't be targetted that turn. It was targetable as usual in the next one.

I forgot to savegame, sorry...

Yes. it is a terror unit. Too excessive ? Thats terror units for you, i think thats a nice touch.

Gentleman, obviously absolutely in love with it. Been playing your mod since first version, and when I saw 99.4 coming out, I took the plunge.

My one and only problem is that part 3 of the three download files, when I try to unrar it ( doubt it is a verb ), it claims part3 is incomplete. Whether true or not, I have not seen the vehicles.xml and the vehicles_gm(?).xml inside X-division folder.

So, in resume, did I miss anything installation wise? Should I use a different Unrar software?

Playing with Wine on Mac osx . HAve successfully installed and played all previous versions of X-Division.

Can you help?

-do you need some  help for a french translation eventually?

-IA of the civils have strange behavior. I don't think it's a good idea to just sit in front of the ufo door.  (Save 1)

-An ufo  interceptor pop just after a i cleaned a landed UFO and systematically kill my precious chinook, look like it was an escort i dunno if it's intended for now i think we can say "GG" after only 2 fights.  If it's intended can we have an option to kill "landed" ufo interceptor before sending our chinook ? (Save 2)

-Talking about realism, don't know if it's have been proposed before, can we start the game with some binoculars to increase detection range? (Maybe at the cost of an action or you must equip them in secondary slot)

Thanks for this mod, just at the start for the moment but look like promising.

What you are writing is very confusing. Escorts of UFOs dont independently shoot down chinooks, if you get attacked the main UFO attacks.
Ofcourse you have the option to shoot down the escort before the main UFO lands, just engage in an airfight and shoot the escort down.

its currently not possible to increase view with weapons.

Yeah sorry hard to explain this clearly. so this is what happen:

I send a chinook to a landed ufo but before that he was escorted by a fighter who appear who landed with him. Just after finished the mission a fighter just pop out of nowhere on my chinook and shoot him down killing most of my mens. ( escortrampage.sav on my previous post)

I don't know if it's the one who were escorting or if i'am just a bad luck brian.

Should have just ignored the landed ufo? (killing an escorted ufo at start is near impossible)

Those were 2 different UFOs.

Countermeasures are:

  1. Dont immidiately engage when UFOs start spawning, wait around 18 hours to make sure that every UFO spawned
  2. Never send out your chinook first. Ideally engage the coming UFOs first with fighters, interceptor UFOs will get attracted to them and you will know that they are there
  3. If you have a lonely UFO landed and want to raid it send an squadron of fighters to the crashsite first, alien interceptors will get attracted to them and you will know that they are there

The rest is just risk management and the difference between an experienced player and someone who still has to learn a lot.

Thanks for the recommendation wasn't aware of this fact.

I will start a new game when your next release drop, for the moment i have the same bug than juvilado who occur quite often. (Counter attack sometime freeze the game.) So when you play on light ironman (Only one save at the start of each ground mission) it's a little bit frustrating.

Make a proper bug report, saying "the same bug" doesnt help me. Save often and regularly - like in all games. It doesnt mean you cant play an voluntary ironmann, just dont load the saves.

I presume with the same bug you mean counterattacks from melee aliens freeze the game. As long as you dont load a save melee reactionshots work fine, but we could ask everybody here if they would rather want to see Melee reactionshots or a more stable game - its up to you guys.

I noticed quite often the AI just puts the Xenomorphs next to the Xenonauts, reserving TUs for "reaction melee" and hoping that the next turn the Xenonaut will do something to trigger that melee counterattack. Maybe that unit's behaviour could be altered in order to make them attack if they can and only reserving TUs if they won't be able to get to any target and do any melee damage. After all they are not supposed to be sitting ducks. If i would be a melee xeno unit, i would try to attack and then hide to avoid enemy fire.

This way the counterattack freeze should be mostly avoided. I don't know if my suggestion is easy or difficult to compile, im just offering some fix to that...

That should already be the case, sitting ducks is not the way i programmed the AI, or rather drages. Give me some footage of those things happening. You can use OBS to record.

Hi ive played this mod for months now even from different versions its really the best though very hard ( which i am very much inlove with)

Can you please tell me step by step how to download only again?? Ive downloaded all once but after i unrar it and i try to cut it wont paste to the location i desire

1. Download all 3 parts. Have them in the same folder

2. Click on Part 1. Extract to the location of your choice.

Sadly MEGA has really become an absolutely horrible site to use in the past year or so, those links won't even let you download without signing up, and even then on a free account you are restricted to 5GB / 6 hours so you cannot get it all.

Took a few hours from GoldHawk forums, the transfer speed is okay.

Just played the first mission on Veteran with Charon's changes, damn this is good! I actually lost due to sloppy tactics and advancing too quickly, I like the new bullet animations and the xeno's are great!

Will take a while to shake off the rust, but should be another good playthrough ahead :)
