Justpassingby Posted January 21, 2012 Share Posted January 21, 2012 I updated to version 8.62 and had a few problems: First, my old saves weren't recognized by the game, which I don't know if is a bug or not, so I started a new game But I have a problem in which every single UFO I attack is destroyed (14 so far)(there's a new boom animation that I liked by the way), leaving me no crash site to reach. Only one UFO showed up as being "destroyed"(simply fading instead of exploding), but that one also didn't leave any crash site. PS: I am talking about UFOs downed over land. evansgreen Posted January 22, 2012 Share Posted January 22, 2012 I've tried many combinations and arrived to the following conclusion after a hundred or so engagements: Attack with 2 F17 + MIG 32 = Either UFO escapes or is destroyed Attack with MIG 32 = 50% chance of destroyed, 50% chance of crash site spawning. Attach with 2 F17 = 90% will leave a crash site (if not all) Always considering you fight over land, of course. If you want them to leave crash sites, play low firepower approach.
