Alien base crash.

End of month 3 or 4. Alien terror UFO attacks my base and converts into alien base that I load into. Crashed like 10 turns in - it frozed the game and the pc, so I had to forcefully shut down. When I boot up the game and try to load up the save, it crashes closes the game after clicking "Resume game". I was playing on NG+2 ironman. Any way to save it?

Something random to add: after the forced shut down, my default windows desktop wallpaper changed. Not sure what to make of that.

You can try starting Xenonauts_gc_editor.exe If that can load game, press V to win battle immediately.

If that cannot load any game, then well, you may be screwed. For that reason I don't use Ironman.

Verify Game Files: If you are playing on Steam, you can try verifying the integrity of the game files. Right-click on Xenonauts in your Steam library, go to Properties, then the Local Files tab, and click on Verify Integrity of Game Files. This can sometimes fix corrupted files causing crashes.
