I'm not certain if this is a bug or not, but I remember in Xen 1 the missiles laying around in a Xenonauts base defense could be blown up with gunfire and/or explosives. However, those missiles do not explode when they come into contact with explosives or gunfire currently.

It's not a bug exactly, just an oversight. But it's an easy one to fix and I'll update it for the next patch.
