Elim Garak
For some reason I can't assign my unassigned soldiers to the Chinook. That option is grayed out. However, when the Chinook flies out, everything is fine.
dekamme
Did you fly over the Chinook from another base? Did you empty it before flying it over? Have you tried saving, quitting the game, then reloading? Have you tried saving, starting a new game, quitting the new game, then reloading? Elim Garak
I did not fly a Chinook from another base - I bought it at this base. And yes, I tried saving, quitting, and then reloading. And no, I have not tried saving, starting a new game, quitting the new game, and then reloading. As far as I can tell, the steps were quite simple and obvious: 1. Build base. 2. Buy a Chinook. 3. Hire soldiers. Train them - not sure if this is a factor. 4. Buy a vehicle. 5. Try to assign soldiers & vehicle to the Chinook - the Chinook option is grayed out. However when I fly to a mission everything is fine. It's just that the soldiers show up as unassigned in the personnel screen.
dekamme
When you fly to a mission, the chinook is loaded? I had this issue as well, combined with the "unable to recruit new soldiers" bug. The new soldiers list should always contain the same amount (10). When I solved the soldier recruiting issue (by the "start a new game" idea I mentioned) I solved the Chinook issue as well.
