V12.1 Anyone capture a power source yet?

I am not sure if I should move this to the bug report forum just yet as I am not sure which bug it is, so far I have shot down multiple scouts and found multiple power sources intact (or at least look like they are intact) and yet the score screen does not show them as being captured and they do not show up in the research tab even after having researched the Alien pistol/rifle/grenade/alloys/corpses/etc.

Has anyone managed to capture and research a power source yet in V12.1?

Alright, finally found a downed scout with minor damage and finally captured a power source.

It seems that the power sources are appearing undamaged in severely damaged scouts when they should be showing the destroyed/damaged sources instead.

I'm having trouble catching UFOs with my F-17s. When I do down a scout (light scouts apparently don't have power sources) all of the ones I have downed have taken severe damage, thus no power source.

I seem to always find severely damaged UFO's when I send out 2-3 F-17's and fire 3+ missiles and finish with the machine gun.

From my experience if I send 2 F-17's and fire 2 missiles then finish it off with the machine guns, it almost always crashes while taking minor damage.

I was looking at the spectre for the power core, and I am thinking that the engines are in the "damaged" state which looks like the undamaged version, but does not give you loot on recovery and you can walk through them.

I did manage to get one, though all of the ones I've found have had the intact graphics.

I've found that two torpedos from a mig gives me a good chance of getting a intact core.
