I've had an MG'er murder themselves on the farm map before due to hitting the corrugated iron next to them when they failed the accuracy check. In all seriousness though, I've never come across this myself, but I've heard about people who've had their soldiers shoot themselves. Maybe it has to do with them hitting the tile they're occupying?
