jimbobfury Posted April 29, 2012 Share Posted April 29, 2012 I've just had the first CTD during a ground combat mission since 9.5 was rolled out. I was in the quick terror mission and the game froze on a Cyberdisc during the alien turn. The crash was accompanied by a weird sound loop bug, which wasn't a sound effect I recognised, but it was just repeating in a loop and the rest of the game was frozen. I'd not had this in 9.5 but to be fair, I'd not really been on the quick mission much in that version, so I can't say for sure if it's something that's just been introduced in the latest release. It might have something to do with the alien robots attack or movement as there were several of them alive and moving in to finish my (mostly dead) crew of 4 remaining guys. It froze on the AI turn potentially as it was about to take a shot at me (though it was facing away from me). Could that be the sound when they rotate? XenoNUT Posted April 30, 2012 Share Posted April 30, 2012 Yeah I saw this in 9.4 too but at that time I thought it might be related to the standard HMSF. Since it seems that is pretty much cleared up and I am still getting this occasionally in 9.5.1 it must be something else. I only get it in the Terror Mission so far, and not every time.
