  1. Yeah, as much as I remember, I'm getting lags at industrial/city ones. Where do I get the fix?
  2. Sometimes I get 2-3 fps out of nowhere. It happens randomly and unpredictable. My fps rate goes down when specific props appear on the screen (destroyed smoking car, for instance). While the lag-making prop is on the screen it might take ~10 seconds for a soldier to perform an action. For this very reason alien turn can take up to 8 minutes to complete on a terror mission. As soon as I (or alien activity) move the camera elsewhere - I'm fine. I can have terrible slowdown during the carrier assault (the room with this golden spinning thingy and rotor-like one on the top floor) and then I assault another carrier and have almost no slowdown in these areas. Have no clue, really. By the way, how can I make screen shots in this game? If I press PrintScreen it captures the desktop O_o Windows 7 (32) Athlon x64 dual core 4800+ 2,5Ghz 3 Gb ram Ati Radeon X1650 Pro
  3. There's a tooltip, which says 'press 'm' to use meele weapons' (or something like that). What does it mean? It's like I can hit an alien with the rifle's butt?..
  4. One more interesting fact about Reapers - they do not attack local forces/civilians. Really, I never ever saw them doing that. They always rush for my guys. It's like Xenonauts operatives are the most delicious meal in the galaxy.

I got some problems with one of your maps for terror sites: explosion animation is just a blank square, sometimes soldier's sprites are missing, got two BSOD out of nowhere, destroyed Hunter has no sprites, sometimes whole map is a blank canvas until I alt-tab back and forth... Maybe that's because I'm using 1.06?
  6. As for me, I feel like quitting because of insane frame drop I have every now and then. Sometimes I get 2-3 fps out of nowhere. As I type this comment one burning car makes my game go 1 fps. Took aliens 5 minutes to complete their turn. I'm just losing my patience. It's not like it happens every time, no. Sometimes I get lags and freezes and the other time I'm ok with pretty much the same sprites and assets all over. Go figure. Oh, and soldier's accuracy. Every time my guys miss point blank 95% shots I wanna flip my table over and go kill someone. They can do it TWICE in a row. It drains my sanity. Oh and gruelling necessity to sit and wait for aliens to end their turn in case I messed up and want to re-load my save. It takes less time to restart the whole system rather than wait for my turn to come.   7. I see. I went Firaxis' way: one soldier - one type of weapon. I'm somewhere in the late mid game and still using Jackal armor x.x Hence much headache.

  9. Idk, man. I invested a ton of efforts into laser/plasma weaponry, lost aerial supremacy (Foxtrots vs Carriers), didn't get any new aircraft/tank/armor and yet I'm doing pretty well. Recently I built second science lab, hired 15 more smart guys and little by little I'm taking back the skies (Corsairs) and whatnot. As you might have guessed I don't play on Ironman. First play through on typical normal difficulty.

  13. I used to autoresolve all air combats. But now, when game is throwing Cruisers and top-notch alien fighters at me and I barely got my first Corsair, that's a bit of an issue.
  14. Yeah, with laser cannons and sidewinder missiles a pair of Condors torn corvette to shreds.

  16. I got 2 fully equipped squads of 10 operatives and I feel very comfortable No need for more, really.
  17. Yeah, Firaxis did a great job with all these pipes and ladders and other staff that help you to get an elevated position. I guess it'd be a simple mod. Just add a specific position next to each 2-3 floor building from which a character can get upstairs, some sprite (ladder/pipe), calculate TU cost and job's done! Anyway, I'm going for Skitso's map pack too. I just wonder if 1.07 is stable enough.
  18. Hey guys! Since my first encounter with Herridans in the city environment this one small thought bothers me: why can't I get to the rooftop??! I mean, almost every irl building have its own (inner and outer) ways one can use to get to the roof but there's absolutely no way to do so in Xenonauts (except for having a jetpack). So far I've seen only one building with the stairs leading to the roof and that's annoying. Especially if there's a Herridan with a plasma sniper rifle up there behind the cover and all my soldiers are sitting ducks with 42% hit rate at best. Can this be fixed/modded?
  19. Awesome work, Skitso! You deserve to be mentioned in game's credits or dev team. One little question: why u no make maps any more? Looking forward to Map Pack 5000
