1. It's good that I see more and more people experiencing the same issues as myself (playing on 1.03). It means that I am not the crappy player and also that the game will change to the better. :-)
2. That would be a pity given that these modifications require very few developing effort. I am hesitating suggesting Xenonauts to friends for this reason.
3. I am playing on normal, and I tend to agree with John Smith. It took me a while to grasp the politics and to get over the fact that I will loose a few regions without losing the game. Nevertheless funding seems to be way off. Now that I've lost three regions (for the rest their funding is almost maxed out), I have to do almost every ground mission for keeping my workshops and hangars running. It means playing for HOURS before getting to use my new toys from the workshop. It becomes a bit frustrating. A modifier for easy/ normal would be the first thing to do. I wander if the modifier could be more-and-more punishing as the game progresses. I.e., ok we forgive you for the first month, but not for long!
4. Jumping into the thread.. I believe that the Geoscape part of the game needs some more balancing. AirStrike rewards is one of the things to do. I have two teams, and I am raiding UFOs like crazy. This is given that Nation funding is too low for sustaining 3 bases, with their foxtrots, etc. Doing a landship gives me around 80K, whereas airstrike is only 35K. AirStrike value should be doubled more-or-less (or doing the mission should be much hirer). Having to do as many crash-sites as possible, makes the game extremely slow paced. That is, other than the tedious mission repetition. In any case, I believe having to do almost every mission should be avoided, otherwise it will deter people away. Anyway, I am playing on normal difficulty and I consider myself an experienced player (have played all XCOMs, etc.). Less funding could be applied to higher levels so that people more experienced than myself can enjoy it.
5. Completely agree. It sucks. Instead of going to the beach (bank holiday today in France and it is super warm) I stay at home playing as if I were 20 years younger.
6. Looks like it.. Thanks quiescat!
7. Hello community, well, as the title says, can I decomission a base? Still on my first game, not still very sure what the best strategies are. Long story short, I have built a base in N. Africa, but after a couple of months the whole of Africa got lost! So this is a pretty much useless base to me now. I can remove all building the command center cannot be removed, thus costing me 50K / month. Can I decomission that base, our should I just wait to be raided by UFOs?
8. As per title. You can that my soldier cannot go forward and needs to do the whole circle of the building. Not a game-breaking bug, but still, I thought it is worth mentioning. impassable_door.sav impassable_door.sav
9. Indeed, I have notice the same too. It only started happening, when laser gun we introduced.
10. At the beginning of the mission, all my soldiers appear as if they have no shields. There are four guys in the screenshot below: http://cloud-4.steampowered.com/ugc/579024353773895818/1627BF5EC301036E4B7069CC08B39EC429BB8F9C/ Reloading the save fixed the problem. 11. First post here too (after watching your work for many, many months). It's really impressive what you've accomplished given your (extremely) tight budget and having staff overseas. I am a professional developer myself, working in a big multinational company and I really know what it means to develop software :-) Also the fact that you tried this for first time, and although this was visible sometimes, it gives you even more credit. So... congrats! Getting past the usual congrats for your work, I'll come to the point. Yes, I was going to request that and I completely agree with it. Playing the game for the first time, I am trying to build expand my base but I don't have a clue what some facilities are doing (Medical Centre and Radar for instance). Actually I just read on the quickstart guide what the radar is doing, but it would be nice to have this information in a single point (ideally in the Xenopedia). Bug: In the Launcher, the "Game Manual" button does nothing. It used to work in 1.00, but where it pointed to, was not an extensive manual. Hence, I was searching for Radar etc. in the forum. Probably this comes too late at this point: The fonts and especially the tooltips are too small. I am playing in 1920x1080 in a 24" monitor. I have no problems whatsoever with the fonts of the other applications and I use the default size provided by Windows.
