  1. Condor/Corsair combo is generally a terrible idea. It's escorting an escort killer with an worse escort killer. Corsair/Foxtrot is a much better combo.
  2. Sounds great, I look forward to eventually throwing some more money at you.
  3. Unless I'm misreading aiprops.xml, Ceseans also have the same 18 vision range as most aliens do. They do have the highest reflexes of the three main races, which makes the more likely to take reaction shots.
  4. There is no AI for autoresolve, it's just a straight comparison of numerical values.
  5. To be fair, the Scimitar and Hyperion are called tanks in game.
  6. I'm pretty confident the base building ship has to land and not be assaulted on the ground to complete its mission.
  7. Predator armor is for killing, not scouting. That much we definitely agree on.
  8. That's what the shotguns are for, so if you do end up close to something you don't trigger reaction fire and can actually kill it. I also play rather cautiously with my scouts, so them even getting shot at is a pretty uncommon event.
  9. You're doing something that only makes the game easier. I'm fairly confident you wouldn't be changing the game if it made it harder. Again, it's a single player game so I don't really care but let's call a spade a spade.
  10. Late game I use troops with sentinel armor and shotguns to scout, and they're always flying while moving for the extra vision range and seeing over obstacles. I honestly can't remember the last time one of them was shot at outside of a UFO.
  11. The plasma gun for vehicles has 160 damage, which is the same amount of HP a Seb Warrior/Officer has on veteran so it would be able (but not guaranteed) to 1 shot any rank other than elite/leader. Reapers have 80 HP and Reaper Alphas 120, so it would also be likely to outright kill both of those as well. Pretty much you have to treat them like a slighly better rocket trooper, instead of an actual tank. Vehicles would probably be a lot more worthwhile if night combat wasn't easily avoided.
  12. I believe it is something like that, however I haven't confirmed it.
  13. Each scientist you assign is always 1% less effective than the one before.
  14. Chris Roberts is developing a game called Star Citizen which has raised $48M through crowd funding so far.
  15. I'm not sure what qualifies as cheating more than modifying game files to make it easier, but this is a purely single player game so it doesn't really matter.
  16. Only one new structure is behind research, the rest are upgraded versions that happen automatically when you get the right tech.
  17. You are way behind in the air. At that stage of the game, you should be on/aiming for pretty much pure Marauders. Condors are pretty much worthless and I would recommend basically not buying any ever.
  18. Alenium seems to only be a pre-req for Alenium Explosives, which only require an alien reactor.
  19. Oh they're both totally cheating. But hey, it's a single player game.
  20. Looks like about 21 radars, which would be just over 1M/month and another half million on command centers.
  21. There is currently no way to change anything other than names. I'm not sure about XP, I know it is not officially supported.
  22. The auto resolve is a very simple system. It doesn't actually simulate combat, just compares strength scores. One of the features of that system is that if any craft can not roll, the opposing side uses their No Roll weapon values, so torpedoes are always fully effective against anything other than pure fighter/light scout squads.
