can't attach savegame because I have no permission to do that on this forum and I am not going to use 3rd party file sharing services because of this stupid obstacle so just text: shot down lone Landing ship at middle east tile set (central Africa on globe), I have shot it on second attempt (first wave has damaged it to ~85%, then I flew back for ammo reload and shot it on second occasion) and game crashes each time I am trying to enter battlefield, I have not even made it to the briefing screen. I am at JAN 1970, maybe some new alien species had to be there?

Hi! Because we are now in Beta stage and on Steam, there is one important issue for me and maybe others - will upcoming new versions be save-compatible? I am asking because Steam updates games automatically (maybe it can be turned off but it's on by default) so save incomparability could we very frustrating for gamers. Also because there will be longer periods of time between updates, gamers could be quite far away in game when new update arrives and automatically destroys their progress.

maybe difficulty settings? I guess You receive less money from stuff on higher difficulties and they just left some basic hardcoded values in mission overview -
yes I am not stupid, but I could have broken installation or whatever so I wanted to have some confirmation before I trash out my progress. Thanks for info but next time, please say it in some more polite way, Your customers are not bunch of idiots...

actually this is quite unplayable now with AI Hotfix because on open maps (such as Farm), AI is shooting at me from quite long distances even at night. So I am not able to see them because of darkness but they see me well -

great, thanks! May I install it over Desura version so next official update will work with it or this is rather for stand-alone instalaltions? -
+1 for hotfix, blind aliens are ruining game experience a bit

I am quite sure this is the root case, check savegame. There is great chance my squad will kill alien during AI turn and game crashes when I have to return to geoscape. I have verified that when I killed that alien in my turn in this savegame, I can return to geoscape normally (I have wasted my movement before I ended turn so I got new turn then) edit : so I can't attach anything, attach pop-up ends with 404... so just try to prepare test data on your own or post email where I can send savegame

it would be great story that Aliens came in peace (they sent some diplomats in light scouts) but we were killing them from beginning so they became angry and started invasion

also snow trails should be visible then. And if we will have penalty cost for moving in snow then if this penalty will be lower when walking on snow tile with trail then it should make pursuing a bit better. But on the other hand - we do not have so large maps so this advantage for pursuers would not have much sense. So let's end on just trails on snow

ok, pitty so another weird idea: can tiles have some penalty for moving over them? example - we have mud or snow tiles which should cost more ap for movement edit: my idea is not about destructibility very much, sorry

is it possible to destroy tiles based on weight laying on top over them? Example 1 - vehicle/soldier in heavy armor can fall throught floor if it goes over some weak or damaged surface Example 2 - top 3rd floor collapses due some explosives or so and falls to 2nd which collapses as well because of weight

so if alien scum will stand on the edge of ufo interiour and we step inside, alien will appear on the tile where hull was before? If yes, wouldnt be that a bit confusing? -

This crash should be due to civilian jumping over fence and I noticed Desura offered 16.1 right away 16 was released so I am quite sure it's vanilla 16
