  2. Heck I love to give it a shot and help you out! With the addition of the modding tool I feel like we can help you out with your roadmap, especially when it comes to making new maps, which is a huge factor in these kinds of games.

  4. So one of my fondest memory with XCOM UFO Defense and TFTD is that an enemy can sometime chuck a plasma grenade in your Skyranger turn 1 and just cause a panic chain. Then trying to salvage the situation or aborting. Great memory to look back and laugh at. So far in both of my most successful Ironman playthroughs I haven't encountered nothing like that at all. Am I just lucky ?

  6. There was a mad lad who managed to make a modding tool for X2, they posted here on general discussion. I haven't gotten around poking about and messing around but I feel like it be a bit more painful to mod since the files are vastly different from X1. https://www.goldhawkinteractive.com/forums/index.php?/topic/35796-mod-loader/#comment-204525 Supposedly the developers are working on a modding tool too, but I been waiting since the kickstarter in 2018 and got doubts about that one feature coming out.

  10. I can kinda understand why Chris made the knife heavy as it is since it has 100% accuracy and therefore guaranteed damage ; but 10 pounds seems a bit too much. I be happy if it was reduced to 8, and be super happy if it got down to 6!
  11. Or you can just make them stay in the UFO once you clear the outside area on a downed UFO mission, and they only come out once your guys are inside Totally not how I lost all my troops on Ironman in X1...

  14. I disagree. If that things gets destroyed thats 350,000 down the drain that could have been used on gear and other stuff. If it's going to be so expensive and take shots, I want to repair it.

  16. Absolutely! I always loved seeing your machine buddies fight alongside ya. That's why there's a longstanding tradition in giving tanks nicknames. Fingers crossed for a buff
  17. @Chris I personally feel like the MARS could use a bit of a buff for the HP OR give it the machine gun 10 shot burst to suppress things. It has a 100 rounds and I would love to use all those rounds hehe. I am using it on my Veteran Iron Man first playthrough and as a new player I love the look and feel of it. The fact that it can fit into the smaller UFOs and fight indoors alongside my troopers when the situation calls for it is a plus for me. I do use it as a scouting unit since it can tank at least two hits reliably in the early game so it sees tons of action. However as the game progress I do run into an issue during the mid game. My main problem is that I cant repair lost HP during the field. What if my troopers could repair it to 65% or 75% of HP during combat, in exchange for an inventory slot and weight management? I feel like it would be perfect then, upgrading from the previous version of X1 while still having a unique unit in X2.
  18. @Chris Hiya Chris. Sorry I didnt respond earlier, was coming home from work. I reloaded the save as you asked. At first when I loaded it in, everything was normal and what you expected, the UFO was hidden. However, as soon as I scrolled up or down, the UFO revealed it self in that buggy format. Do you want me to take a video or would this suffice?
  19. If I remember from Xenonauts 1, Aliens have night vision. They probably do too in Xenonauts 2.
  20. You could just take a page out of Jagged Alliance 2 and 3 and have weather be a part of the battle at night. Fog, heavy rain, messing with accuracy on both sides. Though I'm not sure that's possible since weather effects didn't reach the kick starter goal.

  22. That would be something I love to do when the modding tools come out. Making stuff like that is a side hobby of mine in open x-com, so I am excited to see what devious maps I can create, if that is possible.
