  3. Which would be great, the more portraits that qualify for, and agree to be in, the common pool, the better for the game for everyone!
  4. Most likely the "healing while in transit" bug. If the mission result screen states a recovery time, he should be out for that period of time. At the moment, sometimes they do, sometimes they do less, and sometimes not at all. Also, unless a soldier is at -20 health, he CAN survive. Every turn after 0 he loses one point though, so you have to race to finish the mission for a better chance of saving him.
  5. Indeed. I'm working overtime right now. $52 an hour to post on the forums and watch that kickstarter meter go and go and go. Yeah, get em while they last! They've pledged the most to this project thus far. Too bad they can only pledge 10k/20% of the full amount.

  7. I can see where you're coming from , but I don't mind. Obviously I'm biased. Isn't the BF3 expansion called Close Combat? There were some new gameplay in the video as a reward, and I agree that it could have been made public. It won't hurt their thing!
  8. I don't really see that. But yes, it's important to set new goals I think, so that people will keep on pledging, not just the minimum when they see it's achieved it's goal.

  11. Welcome to the forums karthink! I've tinkered a bit with projectiles in the game, and I'm not sure the engine would support what you suggest, based on how projectiles work as a whole. Don't take my word for it though, and I like the suggestion. Fits nicely with my want for beam lasers. I don't really agree on the muzzle flash though. In daylight, this is not visible at all actually, and it would seem strange to have it just on night missions when there is light "emitting" from your troops. However, it's not like I would mind it being in the game, it's one of those things that if the kickstarter goes really well, might get consideration.

  13. I don't think it's crap. The only part that I find unfortunate is that you have to research politics, though I understand why this must be so. It'll be a bit weird but I wouldn't mind trying it out. Also, you'll need good art on par with current Xenopedia stuff.

  15. I don't have a problem with watching civilians move. I shout at them, cursing them for blocking doors, and running in between the aliens an my men. It's great.

  17. I'm not shaving off my beard! I will trim it however. As an elite unit facing immediate destruction, I'm sure some allowances are made.

  19. I haven't really thought about it as it does the job. The command centre is a bit blurry though. Nice to know there are improvements, especially if they have the same style as that new science screen and workshop that was put in the kickstarter vid. It was pure sex tbh.
  20. The MG had a similar problem in the beginning. It's almost certainly not how it's intended. You can change this in the files of the game, or try out Quartermasters weapon modding program.
