  3. Wouldn't it be nicer to have a comment in the research of the officer to say there is a higher and seperate rank called leader? It feels a bit handholding and borderline insulting to shove the information in the players face with a popup like that.
  4. officers and leaders are not the same thing. leaders are later on in bigger bases and/or ships.
  5. I think Nino merely assumed they were targeting Xenonauts.com because they are somehow upset with the site rather than using scanners to find exploits. So it wasn't the hacked site he was refering to but the standard xenonauts site and he did it jokingly As a response to Commissars pancakes comment? I don't think he meant that the site has been hacked for that long but rather that there was another attack a few weeks back.
  6. I think Matthew prefers if you post individual threads for each bug. They become easier to track like that.
  7. Do you have a screenshot? I think that would help Aaron a lot. should be possible to get with F12 using the steam overlay. otherwise you can press print screen key on your keyboard, open ms paint or whatever and paste the screenshot and save it. then find an image hosting site since uploading the screenshots to here is a bit funky and then link to the image on the imagehosting site.
  8. NoirWolf: Simply because the game Xenonauts is trying to be fairly true to the original game "X-com: UFO Defense" in which lasers were weaker than plasma.
  9. You need to tell all three things. Race, rank and weapon for each alien that is invisible. units of the same race and rank still use different sprites if they are using different weapons. It's not that easy to narrow down the problem when you give so little information. Btw have you tried verifying your game cache on steam? to make sure you downloaded all the files. (if you areusing the steam version that is)

  11. Bug afaik. It has popped up before, most likely it is missing sprites. Which aliens is it that are invisible? please include race, rank and weapon they carry to make it easier to find the problem. Which version are you playing? The devs find knowing such details to be helpful.
  12. They don't stack the sleeping space ontop of each other. I'm convinced their one and only bunk stacks the sleepers in multiple extradimensional pockets, basically making the light scouts the interstellar equivilent of a clown car.

  15. which version are you using? Steam? stable or experimental? (it is set to stable as standard so if you haven't changed it...)

  17. and by "equip it" GinzoGomez means that you should put it in the soldiers hands instead of the weapon. (just covering all the bases)
  18. But.. isn't that the point of a flame thrower? At least if Thothkins or Sarth is wielding it would that make a circularish burn pattern or can you make it so that it's relativly conal?

I saw Max_Caine has modded a toxigun/launcher into the game, what about having the flame thrower toss out multiple "bullets" similar to that toxigun to create a burn pattern on the ground simulating a flamethrower? (Am I misremembering or has this been suggested already? I don't recall what the answer was then.) I'm guessing that shooting out multiple projectiles with progressing targets along the path would be problematic? Still I can dream
