  1. What would kill a person inside the engine room without makeing the engine either fubar or causing you to be unable to reach the engine without getting killed by radiation or whatever? I'm sorry but you will have to help my imagination out here... i just cant imagine it. Are we suggesting consoles blow up in the engineers face ala star trek? That allways puzzled me. why did the navigation or comrelay blow up in the bridge when the engine gondola(?) or weapons array was hit? Sure it made for better TV but whats the connection? Is it some kind of electrical powersurge? and they still havent put in shieldings in the powergrid after the first 3000 times that happened? And all spicies in star trek suffers from the same construction flaw? /rant

  3. It's still in alpha. havent hit beta stage yet. I'm not sure i understand what you mean by prebuilt senarios? you mean like "retrieve this object" or some such? I think aftershock had 1 or 2 maps like that. Guess they figured out the flaw with that. If you run too many they are going to feel very booring and repetetive, and more then 2 are too many. There were a few "destroy theese buildings in afterlife that worked repeatedly though. Problem is you need acctual alien buildings and not just crashed ships or alien bases then since you're going to kill everything anyways in those missions. Now that i think about it X-com apoc had destroying buildings in the late part of the game.

  7. Do you have the coordinates? and listing all the capitals in europe would make it a bit crowded would it not? Maybe Rome Moscow and either London or Paris? and skip the rest unkess really zoomed in?
  8. Personally I like the idea that when xenonauts get fatally shot they collaps and bleed out over 1-3 turns first so that you have a shot at saveing them. But if you neglect them they die permanently and if they take any additional damage like explosion damage they die. On harder difficulties (or just smarter aliens later in the game) the aliens could possibly keep fireing at xenonauts bleeding out to finish the job so to say. Higher difficulties could also add the chance to make the xenonauts resign after such a close encounter meaning you have a chance at loosing them despite manageing to save them in the battle. Critical fatal shots would kill the xenonaut outright preventing you from beeing able to save them from bleeding out and firedamage would tick again the next turn killing them as well. possibly smoke form explosions would cause asphyxiation as well or something.

  11. Have you checked the other bugg reports about Crashing To Desktop when planes return to the base? You might get a better understanding of whats happening to you after reading them.
  12. I'm sorry but why are you doing that on this forum? There is absolutely no point in badmouthing Firaxis here. You may discuss XEU however much you want, just grow some balls and do it where it matters. I think we have a bit differentopinions on definitions here. You come off as a fanboy that has been dissapointed too many times and is trying to not get your hopes up to me.
  13. anotherdevil: i was implying they had the onlyone capable of repairing the engine locked up in the engine room during flight anyway. If it blows theres no point in getting to it since the one that can repair it is already there and noone else can rfidddle withit in the right way. Wouldnt that be the smartest course of actions for the aliens? to ahve the guy maintaning and repairing it be in that compartment to begin with?
  14. Would you mind doing me a favour and try other resolutions to see if the font is bigger? Just to satisfy my curiosity if you really need to have the biggest resolution.
  15. It would help if you did a few things. 1. Add paragraphs. the block of text would be easier to read if you did this. 2. look through the other bugg reports to see if similar buggs has been reported and post about them happening to you in thos threads. 3. add in brackets in the topic what the bugg concerns. be it geoscape, ground battle, base view or UI. 4: for UI problems it would probably be helpful if you told us what resolution you are using. and if you think it might be relevant what graphics card you are using.

  17. what video? has anything except that magazine picture been released? Oh wait its just interviews right? nvm? I dont see how Firaxis game beeing good or not affects anything? They are still going to compete with Xenonauts even if they are bad. And if they are good then Chris is already expecting that so no biggie. TBH all these speculations with negative projections on the Firaxis game is just reflecting badly on this community and its members. Possibly new members and preorders might turn in the door if they think we are just a bunch of fanboys projecting our hopes and fears onto a competeing game. Instead of discussing what the X-com:EU is could we discuss how to spread the word about xenonauts? You can discuss XEU later on when there are substantial things and not just your interperation of what someone said.
  18. I dont really see the need of haveing them connected? is it convenice, your idea of reasonable ships design or gameplay reasons that makes you want them be connected? I'm sure theres an alien version of scottie from star trek in those engine rooms just happy to be locked up there during flights.

Can you toss items that arent granades? think it would be easier if there was an option to "next soldier" to adjecent soldiers that are in range and have carry the object you selected to the new screen. Or possibly make it possible to pick up any item within 1 adjacent square so that you dont have to move the guy that dropped the item to then move someone else into his position.

  24. so not a bug but a suggestion to make the game pause the ingame time when monthly report comes up?
