V17.5 Loading Ground Combat Save Causes CTD

I've just tried to play the new V17.5. I started a brand new game and after playing for a few minutes in the very first ground mission the game crashed when a sniper bullet crossed through a burning tile.

I attempted to reload the game from the auto-save and it immediately crashed and any attempt to load the save causes an immediate CTD.

I also had a manual save from later in the mission and this too causes a crash to desktop.

Just started a new game and have exactly the same problem. I'd say loading ground combat saves for at least the farm maps is broken. I'll now delete and re-download my Desura install to make sure it's not file corruption.

Waste of time. Has been reported several times now, also by me. And I'm sure if you had a broken zip file, your unpacker would have told you.

Same problem in 17.51. Even the autosave file causes a CTD.

I did the manual save to try to recover a situation where one of the soldiers was not selectable anymore. Looked like the game considered he was not there at all as far as movement was concerned. So far I could not reproduce this so I did not post a separate bug report, but maybe the analysis of the save file will show something about the problem.

It's probably not needed, since you are saying this is a known problem, but I can confirm that I have the same issue. Clean new game, crashes when I load a tactical save.
