Veggetossj Posted April 4, 2014 Share Posted April 4, 2014 During Alien Base Missions there are vents that can be used as shortcuts/alternate routes. When i wish to destroy the vent 'door' with any gun it will not allow me to do this (Holding Ctrl, aim and then click to fire). Instead I have to fire on the tile that is beyond the door in order to break it. Normally fences and walls in any other ground missions can be shot at to break them, same for any door in the game. I'm playing v21 too, just finished attacking an alien base, and I shot out the vent grilles just fine by aiming straight at them. When I fire at inanimate objects, though, I click on the weapon image on the HUD and then on the target; maybe this makes some kind of difference...? Caaygun Posted April 4, 2014 Share Posted April 4, 2014 I think this problem will occur only on vent walls that face away from you. Then the Ctrl force attack thinks you are trying to attack the front facing wall that's under your mouse rather than the backfacing vent wall.
