kabill Posted March 24, 2014 Share Posted March 24, 2014 I'm wondering whether there's any plans to remove the lock on Ironman mode for Insane difficulty. I'm quite happy playing the game without save-scumming - indeed this is my preference - but I prefer having control over my savegames so that serious bugs don't result in dead playthroughs. I'm good enough at ruining the game myself; I don't need the computer's help! In fairness, the game is increasingly stable and it's more than likely that noteworthy bugs will be eliminated by final release. But since I'm not sure there's any particular advantage to locking Ironman mode on, I'd argue that it would be better to avoid the risk and leave Ironman mode to player discretion.
