goodoldxelos Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 Option to build the starting soldiers and such, also increase stats after missions on soldiers. This would save me nonsensically starting new campaigns over and over again to get the initial characters and stats I want. Quote
Gorlom Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 Soldiers do increase their stats after missions. Selecting their stats would be akin to cheating, and is not really necessary. Quote
Dead Dread Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 (edited) why would you go to so much effort when a few numbers here or there will be irrelevent in a few missions time? Your rookies are cannon fodder anyway as without armour they die to a single shot. In case you didnt realise their stats improve depending on What They Do during each mission. Have them sit in the rear of the chinook and you wont see any stat increase. Have them carry a load close to being overburdened, run around the battlefield and shoot a few aliens and they will get stronger, more TUs and better at aiming. So you can control how their stats improve by actively using them. If your planning to go through the game without losing anyone then expect a lot of save and loading because its just not meant to be played that way. Edited January 15, 2014 by Dead Dread Quote
