Milestone 1.06 Experimental Released! (Closed Beta)

Another stability hotfix for Milestone 1. Unfortunately, this one does break save games. This is partially due to a fix in the previous patch requiring a campaign restart, and the changes to the Cleaner Cells.

Changelog:

  • There are now only two Cleaner Cells, the one that supplies weapons to the Cleaner HQ and the one that supplies armour to it.
    • There's now a mid-mission notification when the Cleaner reinforcements begin arriving on the Cleaner Cell mission.
  • Cleaner Base now has a few more units in it, and the final room is guaranteed to have a reasonable number (particularly on the harder difficulties).
  • Accelerated weapons now have equal damage to Laser weapons, but with greater Penetration than them.
  • Laser weapons now take longer to research.
  • Mantids now only have 270-degree vision, not 360-degree vision.
  • Cleaner Ballistic Rifles can now be used by humans.
  • Fixed a crash that could occur if a soldier carrying a Combat Shield was hit by reaction fire.
  • Fixed a crash that could occur on the Geoscape or on the Dropship soldier arrangement screen after fighting a manual air combat battle.
  • Fixed some terrain template errors that could cause red text to spawn at the start of a mission.
  • Fixed some missing characters in the Asian language fonts.
