euphoric77 Posted December 9, 2011 Share Posted December 9, 2011 Just now I played ground combat and I lost 3 soldiers that were shot by invisible aliens. After I shot an alien in the UFO (the invisible Alien was in another part of the map) the ground combat ended. In other words I lost 3 soldiers due to a invisible or non existing alien. Quartermaster Posted December 9, 2011 Share Posted December 9, 2011 I'm not sure if this applies to your situation, but there have been a number of times when aliens have shot me through the walls of the UFO. I'm assuming this is because the damaged UFO sprites aren't done yet. If the shots came from elsewhere did you look at the mission summary when it was over to see if any aliens had escaped? Straker Posted December 10, 2011 Share Posted December 10, 2011 I've had an alien shoot at me throught a corner of a UFO wall. He wasn't invisible since I sometimes saw the top of his head but with it standing against the wall and the angle of view it was very difficult to see. Sathra Posted December 12, 2011 Share Posted December 12, 2011 Never had this happen. It might be due to a combination of these: 1. Guard-class aliens will move alot if they're out of sight. 2. They can see further than your troops (I think its about 5 squares or so extra). 3. They can ALWAYS reaction fire, regardless of how far they move.
