karthink
I just installed Desura and saw that the Xenonauts alpha was about 2.1 GB in size. This is not a problem, but my bandwidth is capped, and I can't afford to download large (~500 MB) updates on a weekly basis. Can anyone tell me how frequent build updates are nowadays and how big they are on average? I've been meaning to dig into the alpha but can't handle large (and frequent) downloads. thothkins
Tass posted some files that will allow you to move from one smaller update to the next. That should keep your bandwidth usage down to as low as possible for the game. Thread here
Max_Caine
Build frequency tends to vary. A persistant issue (such as the farm CTD bug) may see a build semi-weekly. Builds on average tend to come out every 3 weeks or so. Prior to a new build coming out, Chris makes an announcement with a list of what the new build has in it so you can always check up to see if it's worth your while. Given you're on a bandwith cap, it's probably a good idea for you to wait after a new build has been announced to see if there are any serious bugs that will cause you grief.
