[9.2] Geoscape - CTD on loading a crash site (#14)

Hi,

I have a Chinook coming in from the USA to a crash site in Africa (crash site 14)

When the Chinook lands it goes to the loading screen and then crashes to desktop.

I have sent the USA Chinook back to base and the game is fine.

I have sent a DIFFERENT Chinook to a DIFFERENT crash site and the game is fine.

I have not (yet) sent a different dropship to crash site 14.

I now have two savegames, one where I have raided crash site 15 and one where I have not.

I do have a lot of aircraft airborn in defensive patrols of the dropships.

Have you changed any equipment on the troops aboard that dropship since the last time it was used?

If you have a weapon with a missing animation file it could cause a CTD when the game tried to fetch the missing animation.

I'll go back and check whats going on...

I've a sneaking suspicion that there's nobody on the actual dropship.... hmmm

I think the drop shops should have a way of displaying their complement in the intercept window. It would help to remind you to replace injured soldiers before sending it out again.

If I understand it correctly, the issue is:

You've finished a mission with injured soldiers. When you returned to your base the soldiers were sent to the hospital, then you attacked a crash site with your chinook while the soldiers were in hospital?

I've tried this both with the hunter still alive and destroyed.
