Hiawata
Hi everyone, I'm playing the GOG version of Xenonauts, with the patch 1.09 that's in their download section, and with X:CE 0.31, X:CE 0.31 balance and X:CE 0.31 settings mods. I've made no other alterations and no other mods are running. On several maps already (but not on all of them), I've had a number of congruent tiles that are black, impassable, but provide no cover. When I point the cursor at them, it appears as if they can be shot at, and I seem to remember that I could shoot through them as well to something beyond them. However, I am reluctant to try it out again now, as I'm playing an Iron Man game. But, if it's needed, I can do it. The screenshot and the save game are attached. I'll try making a fresh install of the game and the above mods, and see if that helps and report back. If it's of any consequence, I did install the game first with the patch, played for a day or two, then installed the above mods, and started a new game. Hiawata
Just did a clean install, but the problem is still there.
llunak
Looks like a problem with X:CE's packaging of Skitso's maps. Until a fix is provided, a temporary workaround should be explicitly installing Skitso's map pack.
Alienkiller
Yeah i have seen that Problem too. There is nothing we players can do for now. We have to wait for a Fix from the CE. Maybe the Map-Pack one Post over mine helps.
Hiawata
I installed the map pack as per the instructions - I copied all the contents of Skitso's map pack into the assets folder in the Xenonauts directory. Since I continued playing after that mission, I copied the save that I attached here into my saves directory, and loaded it up again, but the tiles were still black. I then copied everything that was in Skitso's pack into the CE folder (overwriting the maps and tiles folders), loaded up the game again, but the tiles were still black. I don't think I did anything wrong in installing Skitso's map pack, so I guess this won't resolve the problem, at least for me. Since apparently not everyone seems to be having this problem, if there's anything more you need to know about my computer in order to solve the problem, I'd be happy to provide the information. llunak
Saves already include map information (so the save will remain broken that way).
Hiawata
OK, I see. I'll post back here if I encounter the problem again. Thanks!
