1. Hi MysticFist, I struck two problems in two different locations, it might be useful to clarify which one (if either) you are encountering. In the first, it froze at about 80% of loading bar: In the second, it loaded to the point where you could see the ship and soliders, but then froze (identified to be due to saving taking an excessive amount of time, it comes right after about 10 minutes).
2. Hi, I am not sure if you were just incredibly unlucky, but I just replicated this and two out of two shots hit. I had the shooter standing on the floor before the bottom segment of the staircase and the enemy at the top on the floor immediately in front of the stairs. The first shot was aimed at the enemy themselves, the second aimed at the floor underneath.
3. Hi Sandy, What kind of door were you dealing with? I just tried to test this using both a house door, and an alien ship door. On both occasions, I was able to heal a person on the other side of the door while it was opened. Heal was not successful through a closed door (as expected).
4. Hi, I can confirm I too have encountered this, including on the most recent experimental version.
5. Hi BioZork, Suggest that it might also be a good idea to attach a savegame if you have one (such as an autosave). You should be able to find it under "Documents" > "Xenonauts"
6. Do you have a save game (say, an autosave before a crash)? Might be a good idea to add it into your post as they are likely to ask for it when they read your bug report
7. Yeah - I have never struck this problem before. Any ideas on what I could do to understand why the saving process takes such a long time?
8. Come on mate, it is a bit much to accuse them of not having decency for not responding when you didn't even wait a day. It would have probably helped if you followed the bug reporting instructions clearly placed at the top of the forum HERE on the format of your post so they know what they are dealing with.
9. Hi Chris, I believe I know what the problem seems to be related to, and it seems not to have anything to do with the map loading itself. When I save my game, it takes 5 - 10 minutes to save. When you first land, an autosave occurs which seems to be the cause of the freeze. If I load an autosave of a ground combat mission, there is no lag at all which would seem to further support this. Cheers, Sean
10. Hi Chris, Thanks for all your help. Deleting the maps did not work. However, after it froze I just left it for a while (probably about an hour) and it suddenly came right. I suspect something must have been taking some time to load. Keep in mind I'm not sure when during that hour I left it that it came right - possibly it was only a few minutes and I am just impatient . I will let you know if next time it is any faster - perhaps it is a hardware related performance issue? I am using a laptop, but it is reasonable in terms of it's performance. Specs for your reference: 5.9/7.9 windows experience index, 4gb Ram, Intel Core i7-3520 CPU, AMD Radeon HD 7570M Graphics. It plays most games okay (GTA IV, Civ 5, Skyrim, Anno 2070 etc.) Hope this helps others. Cheers, Sean
11. I think what Chris is saying is that the intention of the pop-up is that it will be a mission briefing. I am quite sure at some point in the future the mission briefings will be much more "interesting" but for now it is probably just some short explanatory information they have thrown in while they focus on the more fundamental parts of the game.
12. Hi Chris, Nothing else installed, it is a clean install from Steam. Is there logs or something I can pull? Cheers, Sean
13. Hi, I seem to have the same problem with the experimental version. Cheers, Sean
14. Hi, First of all, apologies if I miss anything you need. I am new around here, and haven't previously lodged a bug. I have just downloaded the game via Steam. The geoscape works correctly, however as soon as I land for ground combat, the game simply shows the ship + troops in the ship, and the ground immediately below the ship. The game then instantly freezes/stops responding. I have restarted the game three times, but each time it is the same problem - freezing at landing. The only way to get out of the game is by Ctrl + Alt + Delete and ending the process. Interestingly, the game continues to use system resources despite the fact it is not responding at all. Save games attached. General is just before landing at the UFO site. Autosaves I believe are just after landing, although as it crashes when I try to load it I cannot be sure. I am going to try the experimental build, to see if this has been fixed in a later version. I will let you know if it has.
