You could make an "easy" version, to test a play trough I increase the sell values of items about 20% its a less stressful game then And it would just be a little patch that people can use. Also if you want I can translate the XNT Stuff into German, combined with the German fan translation (dont worry I understand everything, iam just not used to write in english )

Yes could be helpful. I think to start with is a paper (like this excel tables), with weapons stats and dmg against aliens. Or some modified entries for the xenopedia when you researched an alien. Also I will start my Videos as soon the game has is release Soon™ and your mod release for the "finished" game (But it will only help the German players I think).

Did the balance patch changed something with jackal armour/alien weapons? Iam in the first City defence battle, it feels like all the alien weapons just ignore the armour. Also some of the big flying sources appeared and aliens with this plasma explosion gun, Iam just entered in the laser era, I just cant win this battle and I really tried.

UFO: Enemy Unknown (the real one) is fun X-COM: Terror from the Deep is fun and makes you cry (its so damn hard, and you should patch it with the soundtrack from the playstation version) X-COM: Apocalypse is fun and my personal favourite X-COM: Interceptor its fun but feels very unfinished (also you cant get it run on Windows, even with some tricks there is a problem that brakes the game) X-COM: Enforcer its more a parody of xcom, not brilliant but fun to play if you want to brainless shoot an things.

World of Xenonauts? (I would play that) -
New alien suggestion: Do you remember the little blue aliens from X-Com Apocalypse? They run into you and explode. Such aliens would be nice in here, its challenging to react to them before they reach you. (Could be simulated with an AI script, that runs at you, plants C4 (or an Alien bomb) under your ass, and dont run away)

- The fraps codec is totally inefficient - Its a compressed codec - You cant (maybe that is possible now, idk.) record from different audio sources - If you want to do some serious game video production, fraps is not your choice. For the same money, you already get DxTory or Bandicam

Elite Caesans can throw two grenades in one turn, this is a little bit to hard I think. Also I think the bravery skill should be a little higher, most of my high trained soldiers, panic for totally stupid reasons. And stun and shock grenades are still to weak, a Caesans leader resisted 10x stun and 10x shock grenades. I manually increased three times the stun dmg of the shock grenades, to make at least a little amount of stun dmg.

More suggestion: Its more a thing to make a game longer and add more "sense" to mass production. we do mass production, and sell 10 Guns to a country, yes... maybe. So lets see: At the beginning without research we can produce low tech components (or low tech whatever), here we can think about that 1 Production Unit is a ton of the stuff, I think a country would buy tons of parts to build their own stuff. So we could say: tier 1 : low tech components (cheap to produce, low profit) tier 1+ : advanced low tech components (available after a research early, still cheap to produce, still low profit but more then t1) tier 2 : mid tech components (should be a research at the end of ballistic weapons era, needs a very small amount of alien alloys, mid profit) tier 2+ : advanced low tech components (a resarch at the end of the laser era, needs more alien alloys, more profit) tier 3: high tech components (at the begin of the plasma era, needs alien alloys and a a little alenium, good profit) tier 3+ advanced high tech components (end game, needs a lot alien alloys and alenium, high profit) This would make more sense for mass production and economy things, also we have more things to research, that makes a game longer, and you need to plan your things more. Also you would know what to produce, when I have no materials, I go for low tech, if my material flow is good, I go to mid tech, if I rule the world, I go to high tech.

After playing some hours in different difficultys Easy: Slow start, slow progress, easy beginning, easy gameplay till large ships appear then most encounters are like vet or even insane. I would suggests to increase the money flow on easy mode. Normal: Just normal, nothing to say feels good. Veteran: Hard start, but when you start production and make money, its fine and challenging Insane: Hmm could be more insane I think the easy mod is the most unbalanced, I think most people that play on easy are people who want to learn the game, you want to build things, research things, and shoot living things, without the fear to go bankrupt.

The best: DxTory The second best: Bandicam The worst: Fraps
