  1. A lot of the walls and objects are not visually showing that they are destroyed.
  2. The report says a victory will give +5 to Africa, but it actually gives +5 globally. I am talking about the very first mission at the start of the game.
  3. 1.29C is crashing, but I would like to play. The previous build goes back to 1.05. How can I just get back to 1.29B so I can keep playing my save?
  4. I have started quite a few games now and I can say that no matter what the percentage is set at, I am consistently getting approx. 30% to 50% females across the board. The 25%/75% ratio seems like a good distribution, but not sure it is working as intended. In this case, an option slider would be a great idea. The male to female ratio in a combat game is a very personalized choice for gamers, and the ones that don't care will not be affected.
  5. I have only made one laser sniper, mg, and rifle, the same for the accelerated weapons. When I give a soldier one of them, the count goes to 0. But then when I switch to another soldier, the count goes back to 1, like I have another one and I can equip that one to. Is this a bug or am I missing something?
  6. Doing a collect 10 data cleaner mission and it is going badly. Can not abort mission so it looks like I will have to suicide my whole squad? Or am I missing something? EDIT: For anyone else that does not know, the abort mission is in the menu after you push ESC. Maybe they should put this button on the tactical screen?
  7. I know I can change the main audio, the sfx audio, and the ambient audio. But the sfx turns ALL sfx sounds up and the weapon sounds are too low in comparison. Anyone know what file controls the sound level of the weapons or where it is so I can mod it?

  10. When I do ground combat, the only time I fight more than one alien is when I get unlucky and push too far. Back in 1996 their was a game that you could mod and one of the parameters of the ai was to have one unit follow another. In this manner you could have say 2 or 3 aliens stay close together for combat. If a game did it in 1997, then could this game do it too? Or is their another option to make this happen?
  11. I want to not only add a few more weapons to existing vehicles, but use the same sprites as the 3 vanilla vehicles and make upgraded ones with better armor, different colors, etc... I can not find the spectres for the vanilla vehicles and have no clue how to use an unpacker. What is the easiest way to make a Hunter 2 vehicle that is mostly the same as the original Hunter, but with better armor? I know how to add vehicle weapons and change the values of the weapons and armor for them. But spectres??
  12. I found all the female names on the kickstarter custom soldier list, but when I want to use 2 or 3 of the numbers of those soldiers in the options, they all use the same female pic???? what gives?
  13. It is not in manufacture file. What do you mean ManTech.??? in what file? I look and try changes in Researches and Manufactures, and Scripts
  14. My armor shows up, I can produce it, I can wear it. In the equip screen the names of my armor all show correct. But in the manufacture screen all I get for the name of my armor is #####. I have it correct in the strings file. Where does the manufacture screen look for the name of the items to produce??? thanks Also, any way to start with more than 10 soldiers at your beginning base??? What mod makes xeno aircraft destroyed perm? Why are all the custom female soldier names pointing to the same portrait? custom_01??
  15. 1. I would like my best/officer soldiers in diff colored armor. If I wanted to add basic armor in grey (I have the sprites to do it) I would add it to the armour_gc and the armor I guess, and what other files? 2. If I wanted to add a vehicle, use the existing sprites, just re-color them, besides vehicles and vehicles_gc, what other files do I have to add the information to? 3. If I wanted to add an m103 grenade launcher to my m-16s, I can make the pics for it and the grenade ammo, but can more than one ammo be assigned to a weapon, and how if it can? You would not have both ammo in the gun at the same time, you would load and shoot the grenade. 4. Just for my own knowledge and sanity, why would the best soldiers in the world go to even their first missions with NO armor at all, just skimpy clothing? Even if the armor of their time did nothing to energy weapons, it is still a combat zone and it would help agains explosions or friendly fire, or what ever. 5. Can the AI handle the aliens having a ground vehicle to attack you with? And if I added a special alien or vehicle for them, is their a post that I could read to help? If you know of a post that can help that would be great, as my searches have only produced parts of the info I need. STILL CAN NOT FIND THE OPTION TO MAKE XENO FIGHTER JETS CRASH PERM! AND NOT GET RECOVERED, ANYONE KNOW WHERE THIS IS? Thank you...
  16. I thought this might be the case, I have steam and it loaded xce and xce settings automatically, and I can not find where the xce package and files are?? NVM, I see them right where they should be, in MODS. Thank you for the help.
  17. I have xce, xce settings, and drone strike mod loaded. I am trying to change the assault rifle to 5 round bursts and 30 round clips. The weapons_gc file says the right info for this, but in game it defaults back to the original 3 round burst and 20 round clips.?? Do the mods override my changes?
  18. well I read it, and it does point to the basebuilt.lua , but says nothing about what to do to include items right from the start, tried 10 different ways, started new games, and nothing is different?? How do I change the basebuilt lua so it will change the starting iteams/vehicles?? thanks
  19. I want to test some new weapons and vehicles without going through the entire game as I mod them. How can I give the base starting vehicles and weapons right from the start for testing? thanks

  21. Why do the files come in .php format when the mod tools looks for .zip? And how do I use 3 or more different mods together using the tools? Does the file name have to stay "attachment" or can you name it what you want? Need help... thanks
